some of the guys who wanted tt and jc back--got them--and they got what they bring--highly erratic games.

i stand by what i said, it was always a possibility, but im convinced of it, we have taken a full step backwards with isiahs moves. im not condemning isiah because he probably knew he could jump start the team with the acquisition of marbury, but as i suspected at the time, we paid just to to much. if you ever pay what we paid for marbury it should be a for a young big man. we can blame the coaches, but i saw wilkens in their faces when they were getting caught helping off, and in the 4th it was a complete breakdown. face it, were very medicore at best--as we come into the halfway point, its going to take a BIG time second half to get to 43 wins at this pace. in fact it looks much more like we will win 34-36 games. were in trouble, i beg this team to do whatever it can and gut it and rebuild anyone AND I mean anyone from ariza to marbury IMHO is for sale. First thing they need to do is establish a style of play and find a coach who will run it. they need to start all over.

panic talking? i had a little panic when we were geting smoked in pre season by 30 what i have been watching is just a bad ball team. we are the equivilant of the NKR.

no more going after other teams castoffs and overpaying--its a laydenism in itself.

what can we do about Houston? absolutely nothing. HOwever we can do plenty with Kurt. I said it in the beginning of the season, and I will say it again, for this knicks team to be successful, the Layden players minus Sweetney must be out of N.Y....Until then, we will always be a subpar team...Start by getting rid of the one player that we can easily trade first (Kurt Thomas), and then move the other.

i can't think of a game this year where crawford only scored 7pts. you can't say he sucks based on 2 games since he's been back when we were over .500 with him in the starting lineup and he's averaging 19pts and has a numbe of 30+ point games and even a 41pt game

Isiah made two bad moves: Lenny and the extension to Kurt..Besides that he did just well. He should have settled for no name coach until someone with a bigger profile became available instead of going for lame duch Lenny... He had the right folks in place and he still does. He just has to follow his instinct by removing Lenny as our coach and finish the season with either Agwire or Irv Williams...

hey man were rebuilding, were supposed to stink. yeah thats why we have the most 30 yo in the entire nBA and why we used the mle on baker and spent 5mm a year on wilkens. thats why we traded 3 draft picks away and spent 300mm$ this year on rebuilding! sounds about right 105mm $ payroll on rebuilding stephan and TT turn 28 next month--certainly not old, but they were both early entries into the nBA so they are older 28 YOs. JC--well, were seeing why other teams didnt want to give him a fortress of gold! he can be great 1 every 3 games, but you dont win that way!

This team lacks a big man in the middle, killer instinct, defense and most of all consistency.. Once we get all 4, we'll be able to compete with anyone in the league day in day out..

Is that it?
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

lacks effort too. Though effort and consistency can be solved by a coach (something the Knicks also lack).

Just finished watching the game (had to record it)....my observations.

- Sweetney should be playing more minutes regardless if he is playing badly to start (fouls permitting). He should have gotten some more second half minutes. And please run a play for him. I think I saw 2 post ups run for him the entire game.

- Did anyone see the Raps rookie Araujo play any one on one defense? I didn't...and you think that would be #1 in the game plan...take advantage of the rookie to see if his D is any good.

- IMO KT's one dimensionalty is killing the Knicks when the opposition puts together a good game plan...as long as you have a guy who can move around (no matter how awful he plays on D) you can hide him by having him guard Kurt. Right now you could put a shooting guard on Kurt and he could hold his own because KT never posts up and never goes to the offensive boards. His stock is not getting any higher.

- Steph has to play more inspired ball or he should be sitting.

- 2 games in a row the Knicks could not find a scheme to defend the same play (give it to Rose).

- The Knicks are actually playing better defense except for the past 2 4th qtr meltdowns.

YOU GUYS WILL BE PROUD OF ME, like i said before i couldnt watch most of the game cause i play in a basketball league and i had a game tonight, ok anyway i got home midway through the third quarter and i relaxed on my couch and watched the game (something i never do, im usually on the edge of my seat biting my finger nails off) ok and heres the good part, I DID NOT YELL, SCREAM, PUNCH, OR BREAK ANYTHING TONIGHT

On a more serious note, WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON WITH OUR KNICKS?? How do we play good defense all game and give up only 18 third quarter points but then the 4th quarter (the quarter where your D is supposed to tighten up) we allow 38 points, HOW HOW HOW HOW THE HELL DOES THIS HAPPEN??? and please couldnt someone knock Jalen Rose on his ass, god i hate that guy. I had flashbacks tonight of when he wore a Pacer jersey and was killing our Knicks at MSG. This isnt good fellas, in about 2 weeks we could find ourselves 10 games below .500
I wasn't born with enough middle fingers!!!

I fealt the same way, I usually go crazy after losses like this, but I just gave up. And you know what, turns out its good for you.

I actually had fun watching the game with my friends, instead of screaming and being pissed of for half the time, even when we are winnning, cause we arent winning by enough or cause TT is playing, or whatever.

This loosing is teaching me how to just enjoy basketball. Maybe someday the Knicks will be good, but in the foreseable future that arent happening. Till 2008 we are bound to suck.

We would suck till 2008 either way. All we lost so far is 1 draft pick. Big freakind deal, we have like 3 more lotery picks coming our way.

We will all get plenty of projects within the next few years.

One thing I wonder about is how long before Marbury writes all alone on his snickers.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?
