I agree with what ur saying, but wouldnt u say it would be great if we had one guy on da team dat could drastically change da gameplan of the other team...

Shaq is Shaq ...so dominant

but the thing is, we couldve let shaq scored 50 on us, but we jus couldnt shut the down their role players...we knw what wade and shaq could do...but shandon?...d.jones?...haslem?...laetner?

we basically need better defense and i think lenny should be gone, he's made some horrible desicions...

If we play defense for 4 quarters ...we'd be way better than our record indicates, da shame is, our team has da individuals and athleticism to play some good d, however no one asserts themselves to do

and i said we need a very good/elite big man cause look at tonights game, shaq changed da whole gameplan against the heat, we need a big man that'll cause rawkus in da paint, but most importantly, our defense has to improve, we play good defense 1 quarter...next quarter we flop, come back out in halftime fired up but 4th quarter we stop, the thing is our players get tired form catchin up all game

Right now, the only big man we could get that could cause 'rawkus' in the paint is tim duncan...last I saw he wasn't available. Didn't the pistons just beat the shaq and kobe lakers with nothing resembling an athletic big? Don't get me wrong, I jock sheed...so maybe he was that big...but he wouldn't come here (he could've, trust me).

Nobody can stop shaq, but we could have stopped shandon, Jones (the three point shooting jones) and we could have doubled shaq later (not as soon as he got it)

We need defense. We needed fratello.

We need a full effing year to play together!!!!

Nothing resembling an athletic big? Big Ben isn't athletic? Why, I could have sworn that he was. Rasheed isn't athletic?

Bringing in Fratello won't change anything. If you want good defense, you need good defensive players, something we don't have a lot of. Plus, what would a year of playing together accomplish? We just do not have the players to contend for a championship and that is alright for now because we all knew this wouldn't happen overnight.

Now that is what i'm talking about...I mean, Kurt put up numbers and hit his shots, I mean, they weren't rim rocking dunks, but he scored 23 points (or 22, not fact checking :) He is our big!

I'm gonna hit the binger and bring love to all knick fans all night!!

"Did you notice that sweetney, Penny AND effing Craw-daddy not playing!?!?!?"

Which is why Allan should have gotten more touches (and more minutes in the 4th). Even with injuries, guys need to step up and help out. We can't just ride Stephon's back every time.

You are kidding me right? After the kings loss, you said that Houston should have stayed on the bench and ariza should have still been out there...today houston should have been out there and ariza should have been on the bench. did you notice Tim Thomas hit a big 3 in the 4th...did you notice Houston's inability to get open...he's no reggie miller.

Houston is a liability if we need stops...crawford plays better defense (believe it or not), but tonight we were shorthanded against the best team in the east and played our hearts out.

I'm still a knick fan and I'm on the phone with the garden now ordering next seasons season ticket package!!!!

GO KNICKS!!!

First of all, you are confusing me with someone else. I never said that Ariza should have stayed in the Kings game. Second of all, even if I did say that (which I didn't) and I said tonight that Houston should have been out there in the 4th quarter, where did I say that Ariza should have been benched? All I said was that Allan should have gotten more minutes in the 4th quarter because we needed more offense, I never said that Ariza should have been benched. As for defense, if you really think Crawford is a better defender, then I question how many Knick games you have watched this season. While Crawford is more athletic and should be the better defender, Houston is the smarter defender and doesn't let his guy beat him off the dribble as much as Crawford does.

OK OK you're right, but you have to admit, big ben is as athletic as Nazr.

OK, so, why are the sonics so good? Brand would be nice, but I really like this team...I see tons and tons of potential.

Once the knicks realize that the Bulls didn't start winning until Jordan started being the defensive player of the year (stripping the ball from the shaq's of his day) they will realize that defense wins championships...

OK, now for some good news...DID YOU SEE ARIZA TONIGHT!?!?!?

Whoa...going to the hoop, hitting jumpers...strong defense.

Man oh man!

nice job running up your stats Marbury when the other team stopped playing defense

Yeah lets focus on that. So many things to talk about with this game but lets focus on that Guns, thats whats really important. Thats what real knick fans wanna discuss right now.
So many things to talk about?? How many things do you have to talk about? Seriously? Tell me something I havent heard? Atleast guns said something different! What were you gonna tell me, that we need a PF/C? That we dont play Defense? That we dont have a real coach? blah blah??

Guys, i know this is da knicks and good basketball is always expected form us, however, this season is part of the process we;re going through to ensure a bright future, we may not cause havoc this year, but zeke knows what he is doing, we just need to be patient, because obviously he's being very patient, while we're jus whining over every game we lose...dont take losses to hard....we'll be better eventually

You are correct...I'm just throwing out barbs...but someone said it.

And I have seen EVERY KNICK GAME this year. Crawford is a better defender than Houston. That's what I said.

Defense isn't about not getting beat off the dribble, defense is getting in the passing lanes and disrupting...Crawford was doing that.

But that's neither here nor there...the issue is that the heat are the best team in the east and are headed to the championship this year...we just completed the first year of our rebuilding effort, 2 of our best bench players are injured, one big one shooter.

And we played our hearts out.

GO KNICKS!!!

Yea I agree. It is a rebuilding phase. Atleast Zeke is trying to get some talent in here. Now can we get the Center we were promised when playa and his friends traded Ewing?

That's one Convert...Who else is jumping on the positivity train with us!

Did you see what zeke did with the Pacers...Mostly roll players and they had the best record in the league...they lost in the first round a bunch, but so did marbury, so...can't be any worst...I see us getting that big and I see us getting him losing nothing but giant contracts on roll players. keeping nazr AND kurt. Trust me. I know.

The Sonics are so good because they have great chemistry together and because they actually work hard on the defensive end even. However, they are still not built for the playoffs in my mind.

As for Ariza, he looked great tonight. Him and Kurt were probably the only positive things we had going for us tonight. Trevor did a good job on Wade and as I have said before, I really think this kid can turn into a very good player if he continues to improve his shot.

While I agree that Jamal at times does a great job of getting into the passing lanes and creating havoc, he still gets beat off the dribble a lot and our help defense isn't good at all so the other team often scores on those opportunities. Disrupting in the passing lane is good, but if you can't keep your man in front of you then you are in trouble. Allan isn't a good defender at all, but he is a smart defender who keeps his man in front of him.

But hey, we're not a good team yet so we are going to have nights when we are just out of it while also having nights when we play like a contender. As I said before, its a process, and we still have a long way to go...

Here's the big question about Marbury...sometimes I feel he doesn't know what he wants to do with the ball. He plays so freely. He lacks structure to his game. The assists are there because he draws the defense especially when he penetrates. But I really think if we had an Elton Brand or an Amare Stoudamire it would make it much easier for him. Feeding Brand would be simple yet structured.

So many things to talk about?? How many things do you have to talk about? Seriously? Tell me something I havent heard? Atleast guns said something different! What were you gonna tell me, that we need a PF/C? That we dont play Defense? That we dont have a real coach? blah blah??

I'd like to talk about Ariza and how he showed flashes of greatness. He attacked the basket and displayed great body control. He attacked another time and finished with the left beautifully. He played excellent D on Wade and punched his shot into the stands with the left!!! He banged a 20 foot jumper. I am a believer!!

I'd like to talk about Vin Baker and how he punched Dwanye Wade's shot on help defense. I'd like to talk about Vin Baker looking not so bad out there and wondering how in the world Bruno ever got in the game before him against Sac-town, and why he has become the new Shandon Anderson.

I'd like to talk about the high post pick and roll with Nazr that I saw twice last night, which I think is a horrible, horrible idea, which led to 2 turnovers. I hope they never do that a gain. Do a high post pick and roll wit TT, and we should be able to make something happen.

I'd like to talk about how this was one of the worst officiated games I have ever seen. No consistancy, late whistles, bad no calls, bad calls just horrible. Ticky tack fouls on Nazr. They didn't give us a chance. The charge on Steph was horrible then they called the blocking foul on one of our guys. Many 'dubious' calls as Clyde would say.

I'd like to talk about how we played scared of Shaq until late in the 4th. He wasn't even doing anything to block the shots he was just intimidating us with his size and everyone was pulling up short of the paint.

I'd like to talk about how this loss and many of our losses is were not about defense as much as they were about offense. Steph needs help, he can't do it all by himself, and right now our whole team needs his help to get buckets. The only player that can create their own shot is Craw and he is hurt.

I'd also like to talk about how we seem to have such a problem dumping the ball into TT. What is the problem? We waste like 14 seconds trying to get him the ball to post up EJ and then we have to force up a shot. Get him the effing ball!!! Then when he gets the ball hes shooting fadeaways and ****. Take it to the rack!!!

I'd like to talk about how we made a game of this without Craw, or Sweets.

I'd like to talk about how everyone is mad about this loss like we were supposed to win this game or something. We were short-handed and we played competitive.

I'd like to talk about why I am watching ESPN and the only highlights from our whole game were Shaq's dunks?!?!?!? Ariza's block wasn't on the highlights, or nothing from Steph going to the whole?

I could keep going but I think I have made the point effectively that there are many more things to discuss than the 2 or 3 that keep getting rehashed on this board.

I was frustrated that we lost, but played pretty well (all things considered) and negativity was the first thing out of some peoples mouths. I felt like there were so many other things to discuss than downing our star player.
