IMO, SA was by far the biggest win thus far. We match up with Denver very well. SA, OKC, BOS and DET are going the be the real test cases heading to the playoffs. We could face any of them in the playoffs.
Denver is not going to the finals this year, but if they did we would smoke them. The others are not as easy as this.
Nuggets absolutely could come out of the West. Right now their first round matchup is with the choke artist rockets. They would potentially face OKC second round which would be the real WCF.
They could if their matchups are perfect, but I don't think they will beat SA or OKC in a 7 game series. If they somehow did make it to the finals, I'd say Denver would be our easiest path to a championship
You're basing that off regular season games.
Meanwhile, Detroit is saying the same about Knicks (but 2024-25 Knicks say hello)
Overall I'd certainly say we're a better team than last season yet we've been manhandled by DET this season so far.
Yes, that can change. I want it to change, but they do have something to prove now when it comes to facing DET.
We don't have the opportunity again in regular season so we'll have to see if we face them in the playoffs.
We beat DET 4-2 in the first round off a Brunson game winner. DET was tough and they are much better this season so we'll have to be better than we were last playoffs.
