The rotation has been a bit different this year and certainly less iso/grind heavy on O. The Knicks have a lot of weapons off the bench this year and we've been grinding with our starters less.

Last year's rookies were basically dead weight for most of the year - Dadiet/Kolek/McCullar JR/Hukporti took up roster spots but were never trusted. (To be fair, Hukporti looked primed for minutes, then got hurt)

Two of last year's draft picks have emerged as minutes-ready: Kolek and Hukporti. And while Dadiet still doesn't seem quite ready (may never be ready?) at forward, his countryman and 2nd round rookie this season Diarawa keeps getting chances and rave reviews from the coach. He had a nifty move today, showed poise taking his man 1-on-1 with secondary defenders nearby.

I really wonder what os going on in Diadiet's mind/psyche seeing his classmates getting time, and now the guy drafted this year getting time, and he's collecting splinters. I don't see him coming back from this psychologically with this team. Might need a change of scenery.
What? You means like how Deuce folded after 2 putrid years of shooting? Or like Kolek who is 4 years older than Dadiet and how he folded after his first year and beginning of this one?

Last year Dadiet was one of the youngest guys in the league. It's OK to marinate, cause that would be the expectation quite frankly

No. More like Frank and Knox.
Its just my opinion.
Everyone is different. I don't see in him the eye of the tiger that the other two you mentioned have. Just because Deuce and Kolek can do it doesn't mean Dadiet can.
That;s fair and all but Kolek was pretty much exactly in the same position you describe Dadiet is in just 1 or 2 months ago, while being 4 years older. Kolek looked awful in preaseason and SL before that.

GLeague play may give us a hint more data but even that is lacking.

Look, I'd love to be wrong and you right.
But I'll believe when I see it.

I don’t know if there is even a wrong or right. Dadiet has played exactly 36 minutes this year, so just about nothing. On top of nothing last year.

Is there even enough data to look at?

So far I think he plays like he just happy to make an appearance. Seems like he understands his expectation is to just continue to learn the next few years cause he is so young. He needs to have more of a hunger to steal minutes, like Diawara. He seems to passive but in the G League his natural talent and confidence is more apparent. Let's see what happens, perhaps the team trades Diawara in a trade with Gershon ? Then Dadiet gets the express treatment.

Diawara seems like the next best prospect after Kolek. I am all about keeping him. We might be on to something special. He already has the 3 and the D...

He has the potential for sure to be 3 and D. I don't think he has shown it yet. But the HC believes he has the potential. He can take the spot, it's his if he takes it. Be amazing story if he can manage to go from low second rounder to rotation player. Pulling for him. He just has to do what Gershon hasn't, contribute

Mad Max said in the past the Utah fans were the most racist fans in the NBA. He hates them. Not sure he has any issues with having multiple wives though.

The thing with Dadiet is there seems to be a pretty big hole in the rotation after you get past Hart, Bridges, and OG at the forward position. The fact that Brown is willing to roll with funky lineups of 3 guards or 2 bigs without giving Pacome any meaningful minutes seems like a pretty strong indicator that he has been a disappointment so far.

I think he and Yabu both got some first half run vs. Indiana before getting pulled for more Jemison and Diawara minutes. If there was a time for those guys to shine, and don't forget that they have longer and bigger contracts, that was it. Instead, Brown decided to go with the min. salary guys.
