Thus far teams have been happy to make the game entertaining, but maybe the Magic flip the script Saturday night. Mitchell has to be told to switch his form to granny style, there's absolutely no arc on his shot now. Anything less than 50% is a win for the defense.

He can't be in the game id we have 4 team fouls or are over the limit.

This is one of my pet peeves with Mitch and why I often bitch about him - there is zero evidence he has ever put in ANY serious work on his skill set.

I get the offensive rebounds but now his D has slipped, his shot blocking is down and the free throw shooting even worse than career %.

Thought Kolek minutes were big last night (+13) in 8 minutes. Also thought Clarkson had great stretch where we were floundering a bit and he just got 3 or 4 buckets (I really root for him because guys like Jalen/Josh really seem to like him and me I just like his creativity).

If Kolek stays aggressive and pushing pace he's fine - when he gets tentative he gets in trouble. Last night he made some defensive plays with his hands, expedited the pace and really got the ball to guys early to allow them to create AS A GROUP.

With Hart shooting this well he is the best role player in the league. Teams still have not adjusted their defense on him because they still leaving him wide open.

Just need him to start working with Mitch on his FTs now

Rick Barry style, hopefully

Kolek hasn't necessarily been impressive but I've been impressed with him. He got better and it shows. He also hasn't had a long opportunity - and maybe we can also say he hasn't necessarily earned it at his team's playoff level - but he has been good and needs to stick into the rotation somehow now that Shamet is missing time.

Thoughts on whether or not Chris Paul would be a good fit with this current squad?

100 years old and now with locker room disruptions on Clips I wonder if he would be a net negative or a positive and/or if his leadership might undermine Jalen's or Brown's to a degree.

I think if we could get him very cheap and all parties (primarily Jalen/Brown) were on board --- I think he might be someone who could still help Kat in terms of getting him the ball when/where he should. Maybe could also help a Clarkson focus or unlock some lob stuff with Mitch.

Tough call at this point if he'd even be worth it assuming he may not want to play on east coast.

Guy I'd love would be D Schroeder.

Yeah, tough one. His stats are really crappy this year. And he is 40. On a bad team that's losing a lot and has many many issues.

If Kolek went down with injury, Leon would know CP3 individually and would probably ask the entire team and also coaching staff what they thought about having that type of personality and player in the locker room.

The guys would know and then with Leon, and Wes input, that would be your answer.

CJ McCullum and Chris Middleton are doing not too badly this year. I'd trade those 2 Washington second rounder picks back to the Wizards if I could convince them to take Yabu into a TPE trade whilst buying those 2 guys out simultaneously

My thoughts on Paul is why risk disruption when things are falling into place?
I don't doubt Pauls talent even if limited. As a mentor he did some great things in OKC with the younger guys there.
For Kolek and some others, he could be beneficial. Question is how is he with our core starters and coaching if things go sideways a bit?
Lets give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he was never the cause of disruption before? Or was he the defacto leader and others bent to his will, including coaches? In a reduced role, how does that work? If things are not going well we have seen him sent home. If things are going well, as it appears, then perhaps he slides in real well?

I think this is coaching decison based on reputations for all involved. Does he respect Brown? and Will Brown seek his advice? I don't think any of us are really qualified to be certain of anything but its intriguing if he even wants to be here given his family situation and choices if any around the league.

Right, he is in the same class as Rodman. They can also be key playoff contributors

This is the play I was talking about. One reason I am happy with the coaching change is that Mike Brown has been much more open about what he is telling the players. He has been harping on not complaining to the refs and playing defense with your chest.

I don't think we can ignore that both those areas were remarkably improved by KAT vs. Tor. I mean, holy ****- the Knicks appear to be a fully functional franchise.

Brown shas in Boston that he appreciates the work Mitchell has put in and will give him every chance he can.

Teams won't do it much in the regular season (bc Pop has retired), but hacking Mitchell is the right move and he will be unplayable in the playoffs. Robinson won't get paid this off season if he is essentially a 20 min per regular season contributor.
But if he can get his FTs up to Steve Adams 54% career level (ie league avg ppp) then he can think about Adams 170 million in career earnings.

I feel like it's the perfect storm for the granny shot to make a come back.

And how funny was it when that line drive free throw ricocheted into Robinson's hand for another o reb and ended with a 3?

At this point he should learn to intentionally miss the second one always and try to get the offensive rebound

Watch him hit the foul shot if he intentionally tries to miss it
