We had a 24 point lead against TOR too and nearly gave it all up in one quarter. Gotta make sure we don't let down. I know a 14pt lead is nothing in today's game, but we gave that lead up just as fast as we did against TOR.

It's those 2nd quarter/shift minutes with KAT Kolek Clarkson and whatnot where the problems show up?

Give Celtics their flowers. They played hard and earned it. That Jordan Walsh guy Josh Hart'ed us in the 4th with the offensive rebounds. And Brown was unguardable with 42. We really need OG against wings like him.

Respect to Mikal! He nearly won it by himself. Probably his best shooting game as a Knick (12/17, 8/12 3pt). Mitch at the line is concerning. I can accept 65% with his impact on the glass and defensively but 18% is unacceptable. We know he works hard and he cares so he'll put in the work but I think management needs to bring in someone new to work with him and maybe revamp his entire form and routine cause it's getting worse.

Also didn't like Kolek with Brunson minutes together. Too small and slow footed on defense.

Not so sure about that one. Whenever we hear summer news from him it's either Fortnite ( a few years ago) or dribbling between the legs and shooting 3 pointers videos. Not sure who his free throw coach is but I feel really bad for that man. I don't feel bad about Mitch. It's just unacceptable

Could have something to do with his (-14), him being unable to guard the ball without getting torched and his inability to make 25% from FT line.

The real question is "why?"
Why is he STILL so horrible at free throws?
After 8 years in the NBA why is he not shooting 500 FT per day? Does he have something better to do? He obviously isn't practicing other offensive moves. All he has to do is hit free throwa

He's never been serious about improving -- hell he isn't in shape again right now.

Improving skills ZERO CHANCE but this guy is so immature we can't even get him in shape.

I don't want to hear about injury management - you can play limited minutes but in the mean time be very strict on your diet and condition on bike/treadmill/whatever to be ready for your 12 minutes a night.

He's moving like he's 35 on the court and this after being babied all summer and fall to get him into shape.

I can't understand Mitch, he plays one game great, then goes into something unexplainable...... he lets players blow by him, looks clumsy.... and I can't understand how an NBA player can't shoot better FT percentage after all these years!!!

I thought Kat's dumb play turned the game. We dominated Q1 - Jalen went to bench - we featured Kat and he just repeatedly **** the bed with stupid decisions with the ball and ZERO D.

Yes - one of the uneasiest feelings is Knicks coming out scorching hot (especially from 3) building up a decent lead but at the same time not really defending, boxing out and you know eventually we are going to shat the bed & game will be a nail biter late.

Disgusts me - he's a clown.

Aside from FTs - he can't shoot, dribble, pass and barely sets a screen --- he was more skilled at 17.

Jalen's worst game of the season. Also a team high 39 minutes. Brunson gets the longest rope on team but did the coach make the wrong move in not pulling him?

Feel like Jalen has this type of game about 2-3 times a year and coach Brown gotta recognize it.

Jalen was just abnormally bad last night and Brown was stuck (running up his minutes) because bench sucked with Kolek/Clarkson/Mitch ALL HUGE NEGATIVES.

I think all of us watching were thinking the next shot was going to go down and he'd go off but it didn't happen and he threw 3 or 4 bonehead passes that lead to easy run outs for Boston.

Worst part was Jalen/Kat were brutal defensively. Kat is just a knucklehead - I'm ok moving off his goofy **** in right move.

Yeah - where are these rumors of "we know Mitch works hard and we know he'll put in the work" coming from?

He isn't working on anything - that is quite apparent.

A good example of a guy who worked on his game in the off-season was David Lee. Came in the league as a just rebouder and dunker. First summer? Free throws, next summer? Post moves. Then the trajectory was set and he eventually became an All Star

But also, almost single-handedly take down a playoff opponent

13-7 and we love to hate KAT.
Last year we went further then like we have in 25 years!
He was all NBA.
He makes dumb plays. Yet avg'd 24 and 12.
We take the good for granted and the dumb plays is endelable.
Yet there is also a joy in his game that is nice. His bully ball? He is not fierce in his manner or chiseled yet dude is a 7 foot and skilled.
Big old feet, gangly form.....But he gets that stroke going he is a machine.
