Figured this would be best as a poll. He was highly regarded coming in and was great in euro play. The perception is he took a discount to be here. So far he seems completely unplayable.
Undisclosed injury
Just simply out of shape
Not being used correctly
Just isn’t very good

the most obvious deal seems to be Yabu + 2nd for KLove.

I think the most obvious is Yabu and seconds for Nick Richards. Richards is expiring, he makes the same amount as Yabu, he gives good center insurance, and the Suns have no second round picks for the next many years, so they could use some. Plus they have a million centers and no PFs. Yabu might be able to get another shot there. And Richards is a CAA/ Kentucky guy so he is more likely to resign with the Knicks.

yea that seems to be the other option, and PHO won't demand a kings ransom like Ainge either.

When I read statements from the KFS guys online, they keep posting that Yabu doesn't seem to even remember the plays when he steps on court, amongst other things.

I don't read the game at that level and prob wouldn't be able to tell myself. Is this the general consensus? That besides being out of shape and generally lackluster, he can't even get to his spots or remember what they are?

It seems like he’s slow but also his processing speed is slow. Like it takes him a bit to think out an action and then react. He came from Philly who built an offense around Embiids strengths and weaknesses so playing slower probably worked for him. Mike Brown wants space and pace. Brunson, Mikal and OG can all fit in any system. Guys like Hart, McBride, and Shamet want to run anyways and relocate well so it’s an easy fit for them. Yabusele and even KAT are struggling because the offense isn’t how they want to play. For KAT he’s stubborn and isn’t trying hard enough to meet in the middle. For yabusele I think he’s just incapable and not talented enough to play this way with space and pace and doing quick read and react stuff. But look at the 2 players struggling most. Yabusele and KAT. Look at who Mike brown had issues with in sac. Sabonis. There’s a style he coaches and it’s sort of predictable who will do well and who won’t.
