And getting these coaches paid builds up good karma around the league. I really respect Leon for being able to get both players and coaches big deals- sometimes with the Knicks, sometimes by other teams.

God, I had completely forgotten about that. All the more wild in that JR Smith was really just the kind of player you find room for to keep someone else happy.

I actually like Borrego and I am impressed by the fact that he got them to win some games in spite of their overall organizational incompetence.

They did it Thibs way, now it's wide open and no other teams in the market for a coach. Our draft pick is minimal thus we don't need a coach to be in on it. Trades? I assume Leon and company know what they need and how to evolve the team based on current talent. This is about unlocking more from chemistry that was missing. Our talent took us farther than before but we all saw there was things missing.
