I think Nola would try to do a deal with Ingram who similarly is pending FA and Nola likely does not want to pay him what he wants.
This is where the Bulls double down and do something? Vooch and Ball for Ingram or some reiteration of that? Bulls will screw it up somehow?
Nola carrying McCollum but thats a fresh contract.
Nola still have a trove of picks? Got all their own plus protected next year from Mil.
I don't see Ingram as part of Minny unless they got some nice pieces as well.
For now we see Leon vs. Danny. Danny gets too cute and Leon does adult trades that teams like to engage with. Leon understands helping a team is the path to ones own success. Danny will have to adapt at some point. Mormans do not have unlimited patience.

there is a play for Mitch to Nola, that I agree and Leon does like to put players in place were they can succeed and be happy/get paid.
Im thinking behind the scenes there was no "shock" to Randles trade. I think randle understood knicks position about the extension and perhaps he is happy to get his payday from Minny and compete for a chip. Its pretty obvious even to us there was a big chance he was getting traded. As for KAT, one has to consider Leons LONG relationship with him and the family aspect.

This was more than just a "CAA" thing. This one goes back to high school for KAT and Leon. j

Mitch has always been a bit of a flake. He left college before the season started and its why we got him in the second round. Love the guy, but he always been a bit off kilter.
If healthy he should be earning Jared Allen Money. Jared this decade will have made $190million.

Murphy has always been one of my favorite underrated options out there, but I just don’t see this happening for many reasons.

One of his tweets suggested many teams in the mix. I think the biggest takeaway is that it seems apparent we are shopping Mitch and since he's injured this can probably drag into training camp/preseason a little bit.

Mitch for Vincent and Wood doesn't excite me but it's the type of trade I can see happening ala Grimes for Burks and Bogs. 2-for-1 deal to get some depth pieces back. Need a replacement big + a wing in return to make it worth it. If not, might as well hold onto Mitch because he gives us lineup versatility and he matches up with Embiid in a playoff series. Not an easy deal to pull off at this stage.

I dunno. The Pelican might not have an appetite for being an apron team. Seems there is disagreement on Murphy's valuation of 28M per year. Deadline to extend him is Oct 21st. Not saying there's a chance, but there might be a chance.

There's just no way they trade Murphy for Mitch, but that would be a dream.

I think Mitch has a huge role here - he is our defensive change of pace and probably is a 25-30 min player as a starter or a reserve.

Agree. If anything, I'd see them trying to push Brandon Ingram on us or a third team. My understanding is that they're trying to move Ingram so they can promote Murphy.

I think both are unlikely TBH. I'm a fan of both, but one of the reasons for the their Brandon Ingram impasse is that they see Trey Murphy as his successor. They're probably not giving him up. Also, as good as Jones is, he's another 3 and D. We could use him. Every team could use him. But our center depth is almost as bad as the Pelicans. Can we really afford to trade big for small?

Our center depth is as solid as GS’s was for their main stretch with oddles of wing defenders.

The formula works when you have a couple of elite scorers, which just happened.
