Sad way for Klay to go out like that. Great career but he's cooked.

bad loss for them and the end of an era perhaps? What a great run they have had over the last 12 years.

I respect what they tried to do by rebuilding with yoot. For a moment, Wiseman, Poole and Kuminga were looking awesome.

I wonder what Chris Paul does going forward. I assume his 30mm contract is not picked up. What to do with Klay Thompson and Draymond Green also?

My Guess is Dray should get traded to Pistons. He is from Saginaw and played at Mich State. They need some vet presence. Did that Twitter thing discuss what might become of Klay? He was washed up but turned it around nicely thru the season.

I think he has some good years left in a different situation. He will revamp like Ray Allen did in his elder years. He needs to find the right playoff team where he can thrive in a reduced role and I think he will get his mojo back, albeit in a watered down version of his prime years.

Warriors should blow it up though. They are very far away from being able to retool IMO. Steph is too old to put through another 2 year process.

what is his contract status for next year - looks like it is guaranteed? Are you thinking they will buy him out?

He put up very Chris Duhon numbers this past year. Not sure he would contribute more than McBride.

how do you blow it up?

Looking at their contracts- obviously you part ways with Klay unless he is signing a vet min deal, which I don't think he can or would.

Chris Paul is $30M of dead weight next year. And Draymond is $75M+ for 3 years with the third being a player option.

Who exactly is going to take those deals?

GSW is stuck.

CP3 contract is fully NON-guaranteed for next season.

Trade Draymond, Steph, Wiggins and tank/rebuild like OKC.

It'll be totally interesting to me to see how Klay redefines himself. He is not a starter. He already has rings.

He can do the family thing and take massive discount with GS. He can take massive discount and go to pretty much any playoff team but come off bench?

He can take go to up and coming team and be a key player off bench at medium contract.

He has options. Wonder what his priorities are.

Options in the sense that he can be employed but not great ones.

He can call it a career having played for one team, won rings, made money

He can go to another team to either come off the bench or be a liability as a starter (barring some miracle resurgence)

for whatever reason, kerr has not been able to develop stars so much as he has been able to coach existing ones. Given their success, they have had more than their fair share of raw material that other teams were tripping over (e.g., wiseman, moody, kuminga, poole) and yet none developed enough to take the torch

Rozier is out tonight. I want the Heat for revenge and think OG would give "playoff Jimmy" fits. Would love to see him get shut down

I get any contact can be traded- but you have to take money back in these deals.

Wiggins could be traded, though he is young and actually stacks up to his contract.

I don’t see trading Steph, but if you did, that is a lot of contract that has to come back. Maybe someone like OKC could make that kind of deal.

But Draymon? Who on earth is trading for him? I don’t see how you can bundle him with Curry - that is nearly $80m in salaries you’ll have to match.

I agree they should, though I would not move Curry unless I was able to clean house and got a ton of draft picks back.

I’ll give you the reason: cause he’s been tasked with winning championships and his GM, scouting staff (all beyond his control) didnt do their jobs well enough. One prime example is Wiseman.

Coaches and staff literally have finite resources of time. Generally, one or the other of championships and super raw talent.
