Knicks won 3 of 4 against the Celtics this season so it's a good matchup. As strong as Milwaukee is, they are also old. Injuries are a feature, not a bug of the NBA. It's risky to build a team around guys 30+. If Middleton Holiday Lopez and Giannis have to sit, Knicks don't need an asterisk next to a series win.
No doubt chips are won by who is on the training table and who is not!
They have a chip and so far have the best record in the NBA with a roster on paper that would not suggest it.
No super friend hook ups or starphuchs.
And Grayson Allen playing an important role!!!!
We can talk ourselves into “believing” which is fun.
Celtics are in a bit of a late season tailspin and might be vulnerable.
Philly has been very good after a rough start and proving the hype was valid. They are good. How good?
We’ll see.
If we go against Clev. Its going to be interesting. There starting 5 is very good but the bench/depth is not substantial. In playoff ball thats not a critical as teams tighten up its rotations. Thibs does this all season.
How far he trusts his bench remains to be seen. First round so both teams should be reasonable rested. Longer the series the better our bench give knicks advantage (if we use it!)
As for seeding, kudso to nets for hanging in there. Reasonable roster talent, very deep, and it was thrown. Together quickly. Not contender good but could hang in and keep miami/Atl in play in.
