I agree. They had an opportunity to move on from Reddish and bring a piece in that fit Thibs schemes better.

See? This is how discussions should work. Someone says something stupid, then people point it out and opinions change. Both Grimes and RJ were playing monster minutes before the Hart trade and now it seems everyone is playing better defense for 28 minutes a game rather than being gassed at 36.

Or the fact Thibs now has a quality piece to to plug in after trading a non quality player for a rotation player has led to a different dynamic with a different skill set.

I think the Knicks target Niang,one of the Morris twins, or Hachimura to back up Randall and to compete with Obi. Maybe pick up Watanabe also the mle and vet mins.
