I think this is something our front office needs to get more recognition for. They have mostly found durable players. Over the course of a season, injuries make a huge difference.

Kind of weird watching the Knicks win comfortably 4 times in a row. Things get iffy down the stretch if the games are close. The Knicks are showing a lot of patience in maintaining those leads. Now that JB has made the starters more potent on offense, the second string can get by on stingy defense and opportunistic offense.

Exactly. He’s ready to lockdown his man and help the team increase their defensive intensity. They won 4 str8. Is he ready to get JB mins and JBs contract? Of course not. But since when a terrible franchise who’s been a laughing stock for years get picky on who’s ready 🤣. The question should be are players ready to come here? Deuce is fine and I like how thibs is subbing him in and out without over exposing his weakness’s on offense. Excellent job by thibs. He’s fine as a backup. The question is will IQ be ready if JB is down? Will thibs turn to Rose or Cam now? Deuce will play his normal backup roll. And I believe his defensive impact will cover up any offensive weaknesses. Plus he’s surrounded by gunners like RJ who would be happy to take all the shots, along with IQ.

I would not mind Melo off the bench for a few minutes while Obi is out. If his defense starts to hurt us he can go because keeping the defense this good is my main priority. Our shooting is not good enough to also have bad defense.

Yeah. RJ plays better when he’s the man the team leans on. Been like that his entire career even at duke with Zion on the team. I think they can play together now that we have defense at the point of attack.

This is one of the reasons I would like to see him play with a mix of starters/bench more when Randle and Brunson are sitting. He should be used the most to stagger to ensure that one of Randle/RJ/Brunson are always on the floor.
