Turning point of the game for me, about 8 minutes left in the 3rd, Knicks give up the lead and Brunson picks up his 4th foul.

He waves Thibs off to stay in the game, drills the 2, then the 3 to regain the lead. I'll eat crow on this signing. He's bringing the culture change we needed after last year.

Brunson is the ultimate momentum stopper...whenever we needed a basket to end their run or start our own, he got us a basket or made a savy pass and got us an open look. Brunson is a game changer for us

Dude is so cool, calm and collected - I tend to think the kids of players that were on the big stage naturally seem to have this kind of equanimity about them.

I mean, he's not overly athletic, he's not fast, he's not tall. But he knows where to go, how to get there and is really heady.

Very similar. You can tell Brunson studied his game. Both are lethal in the mid range, Paul is not as quick as he used to be but both are crafty and shifty with the ball and understand how to use angles to get off shots. Both hunt for their spots and take shots that they practice, not the shots that the defense wants them to take....Both are very good decision makers (Paul in his younger years had more flair and was a more creative passer). Both are calming presences on the floor...They give the coach a certain comfort level on when the ball is in their hands....

My only beef with Brunson & Randle in 2nd half of game were their miss & hit shots Fournier was wide open on the perimeter .. the two players keeping Fournier out of the offense are why the young Magic team kept doubling them. Great Game !!!

Randle was working to find Fournier. At least twice he signaled Fournier to move and then found him. Fournier improved a lot in my opinion but he is still a little bit stagnant without the ball. I’d get Fournier some Reggie Miller tapes for off the ball movement. Fournier’s 3 is sweet. He needs to work a little harder to get open. Shouldn’t be that hard being the fourth option.

You know I gonna spin wit it

Knicks are still missing preseason RJ and FIVB/Boston killer Fournier

ANOTHER triple double from the bench. I'll just leave that here.

If RJ has to die so Jules can build up his trade value, then so be it. RJ will have plenty of time to build up his stats after Randle is traded at the deadline. We might get a raw, unprotected first if Randle keeps this up.

Ah, “trade Randle” lives.

The Knicks organization on both defense and offense has been noticeable and a big step up from previous 2 years IMHO.

Long way to go but this is a professional team thru and thru and up and down the roster.

Fournier was 2-8 with near zero defense, how is this telling? Ben gotta up his twitter game

At times last year starters would come back no matter how bad they were. Those EF games where he goes 1 for 13 he would still sometimes come back.

It looked like they were targeting Fournier on the defense. Guys either tried to switch on him or drove when they saw he was the help defender. It’s wasn’t just his offense it was also his defense that kept him out of the fourth.

The Knicks aren’t desperate enough to dangle him out there but if someone good hits the trade market at a reasonable price (aka protected firsts) he’s gone. If not I think they still move him with picks in FA.

He’s not even outright bad, it’s just why not upgrade.

I feel with the shot creation among the starters Fournier just doesn't get the usage he needs to show his true value. If Cam can be a little more consistent I think it makes sense to change their roles in the rotation.

I just figured out why Obi's rebounding numbers are so low. Dude takes off as soon as the shot goes up to wreck havoc on the break. I'm cool with that.

That SG spot is Grimes eventually I hope. We only need 3&D there and he does that.

Fournier can show his true value by hitting more shots LOL

Fournier brings experience to the SG position and he works well with Randle. I am firmly in the “start Grimes” group but at the same time, Grimes has to earn the job. EF will probably get traded at the deadline if we can get a protected 1st rounder or high second rounder for him, but in the meantime, Thibbs is going to give EF minutes because we need that spot up shooter in the starting lineup and outside of Grimes, EF is probably our best shooter.
