Wait how stupid are trump supporters? Answer, the dumbest of the dumb.

But getting back to the invasion, thank god the world got this right and Putin will pay for this. via ruining Russia morale staging a fake possible nuclear threat, because of Sanctions and the fact that the invasion isn’t going as planned. The world needs to keep feeding the Ukraine arms, food and help. They will defeat Russia and Putin knows this.

Since the Cold War Russia has always been all talk with fake news. I really have a hard time thinking that they are a quote “super power with nuclear capabilities nation” while they still ride in jets from the 70’s/80’s but crated a super sonic nuclear missile that is undetectable haha bull **** (Russia fake news propaganda) . Russia in real life has a tiny economy and if you become rich and Uber successful for the most part VP will kill you and take over your company before driving it into the ground cause just like trump he’s not a good business man .

I bet vlad has been obsessing over the fact that the ussr lost all these Baltic nations that used to be apart of the “great nation” and he wants to leave his legacy by retaining the old world nations back under the Russian flag. What a rich retard, again can you draw the similarities to trump? Their like doppelgängers, except trump is orange and Putin has bigger hands lol

Unlike the Cold War we will find out how weak Russia really is, “not a super power” weak nuclear arms. And a fragile economy. Putin will not be alive in a year or two … Putin will be pulled out of a bunker just like another dictator in Iraq did years ago. Now the world is watching and now the world is coming after him … in the chessboard of life these next moves are critical to his survival as a human… will he put his tail between his legs and beg for forgiveness or will he be strung up to die … god dam the cia must be licking there chops right now.

Trump showed this the past week. He is either:

A) As gullible as Dwight Shrute.
B) A liar of epic proportions.
C) Just a plain old hypocrite.

Was he really the only person on the face of the planet that believed Putin was sending in peace-keeping troops? I mean I know he wants to be in Putins’ good graces but dear lord.

If Trump becomes president again, I don’t think I can handle it.

Last I looked Trump is not the president and this is happening on Biden’s watch. He isn’t doing anything to stop it. All he has to do is keep Ukraine out of NATO. But let’s face people of the Ukraine are pawns in this game that the US and Russia are both guilty of.

It's okay, when you're one year plus into the worst administration in the history of the US since Andrew Johnson, you've got to find someone else to blame for you're own idiocy. Why not the loser idiot who's been out of office for over a year? Yeah, that makes sense.

The media misses the Cheetoh so bad, they don't mind looking completely asinine reporting every word that comes out of his orange head.

Forget the mumbling senile synchophant presiding over all this as the supposed leader of the free world. Look at the bright orange shiny thing!

Aren't you guilty of the same thing? Simplistically blaming complex global systems and situations on one person even though there are significant other factors at play? But at least you have your media talking points correct.

Tell you what.....name/blame a problem on any US President and I can come up with significant other issues at play. For instance, in this thread you pointed to 13 US Troop deaths under Biden - referring to the 13 who died in Kabul. Are you even aware that over 2400 American Troops have died in Afghanistan under 4 different Presidents since GWB started the war over 20 years ago? Did you even care prior about these people who died? Did you not know that even if we had not ended the war, troops would die - or is is just about the current media talking points you are spouting off now?

And how many of them died during a total troop withdrawal? And if your favorite orange pariah gave a SOTU AND DIDN'T EVEN MENTION 13 DEAD SOLDIERS who were a direct result of his bumbling mishandling of said withdrawal, would you be happy pounding your fists over what Obama did or didn't do, or what Obama said about it?

I point out that pointing and screaming and yelling about a moron who lost the election over a year ago shouldn't be a talking point about the abject failures of the current administration, and you bring up GWB. It's very simple, who's in charge right now?

Hey, why don't you get me some dates and numbers that can show that everything Trump did was actually Obama's fault?

Brilliant.

Let's just get this over with once and for all and say that Trump was the single worst LEADER in US History. Period. Full stop. Trump is an existential threat to the human race. He's a grifter. A taker. A total piece of ****. And he's got support from far too many mounds of meat that actually live and thrive in this country. I still can't get over that... and never will.

Cool? Now we can move on. Glad we got that over with.

I wouldn’t say that. Once you realize what Trump went through before and during presidency you will realize even though he can be hated for his personality but he was one of the better presidents US had.

um......what??!!

He did a lot for the US. It’s okay to accept that. There is no need to be red in the face. You were lied to and a lot of people bought it. We now have a president with onset of dementia all because of main stream media. We could be on the brink of WW III. So don’t be red in the face. If you hate the guy you hate the guy but come with facts. You want to talk Economically, Border, energy independence, employment. These are talking points. Ending wars, speeding Up vaccines.
I’ll be the first to tell you Trump is an ass. I’m going acknowledge he did good for this country.

what america are you talking about? america or amerikkka? a president who brought back archie bunker views, no matter what they accomplish, does not need to be validated whatsoever. before we bring up lbj and the fact he said the n-word constantly at least he put the pen where it counts and passed laws for minorities. trump threaten almost every gain of minorities you can think of with hiring practices to voting rights.

im also fully aware of the struggle of the present administration. however, we have to realize this is only year one. high ranking presidents like reagan and clinton had shaky first years too. not to mention the many issues that have came up. i wouldnt say it is unprecedented but it has been a long ti e that these type of problems pop up. if in a year they are still treading water, then it is definitely a problem.

This USA decision with Nato to go and start fights for Liberty NO Question can be done ?

However the login isn't on anyone's(Nato Country) side and there isn't going to be a good outcome
if USA leads the first main move to initiate retaliation of diminishing Ukraine fight.

This is TERRIBLE position for USA and its bredring NATO countries to be in.
However something will happen ? correct from the other Powers since Mr Putin is wrecklessly out of control & simply
said OUT of his BLEEPING mind for humanity and humans. He needs to be removed from order, easier said than done with
ALL these WAR violations the Sick freaking Putin' has already inflicted.

Don't trust either the other country like N.Korea whom like China,
N.Korea , Russia OR China could care less for favoritism among powers OR Whom gets along with whom.
Each of three countries if they had to CAN KICK AS_S of any other country not named Russia, N Korea, China (USA N/A)

Neither Russia, N Korea or China into world popularity contest either!

That's Scary and ain't good when other than USA not happy with Russia, N. Korean , China could care
less in between the lines what's the world impacts on taking down HARD Ukraine, with inhumane methods.
World today with the WAR has sadly Gone to the " SH_*&%%,,Ts "

I'm a christian don't curse !

And a fragile economy. im also fully aware of the struggle of the present administration. however, we have to realize this is only year one. high ranking presidents like reagan and clinton had shaky first years too. not to mention the many issues that have came up. i wouldnt say it is unprecedented but it has been a long ti e that these type of problems pop up. if in a year they are still treading water, then it is definitely a problem.

By the way these are known already..Belarus, Eritrea, North Korea, Syria aupport

I don't think I am built for war. Watching these videos of the aftermath is very sad. Even watching videos of tons of dead Russians who got blown to bits in their tanks is sad and they are the one causing all of this. Saw another videos of an anti air missile blowing up a Russian helicopter and was happy for a second until I remembered that the people in that heli are no longer with us and they should still be alive if not for this needless war. One thing I don't think Russia expected was for Ukraine to fight this hard even though they are clearly outgunned.

I don't know how true this is because POWs can be forced to say anything while captured but it is interesting if true.

Agree, no one wins, just seems so futile- was it on the wire where someone said just one side loses more slowly than the other or something.

It's been worrying the number of commentators who have been likening this to Hitler and Poland- the key difference is crucially Hitler didn't have nuclear weapons, Putin does and likely would use them. Escalating the situation by enforcing a no fly zone (which would mean shooting down Russian planes) or offering military support would be absolutely crazy, unless you want nuclear war. Not every war has to be likened to Hitler and the nazis, its just daft.

At the end of the day, all we can do is what we're doing, hope the cost of this incursion acts as a deterrent for putin making any more, keep trying to talk/ negotiate/ de-escalate stop short of military intervention (and dont leave hommin a situationwhere he feelshe has nothingto lose). Ukraine will unfortunately fall, and it could be very messy and prolonged.

I've likened this to seeing a thug on the street beating an old woman, you're a cop and go up to them and tell them to stop. They pull out a loaded gun, point it at you, and say stay out of my biz or I will blow your brains out.

I think there is room for the US to push back, and I don't see it as inevitable that Ukraine falls because the people aren't going to let him win. They may overwhelm and wreck unreal destruction to the point they can't go on.

And I think the US absolutely has to push on China to push on Putin- and I hope we have some kind of back channel into russia with the lower in command guys, just saying - any chance of getting this mad man out of the way so we can repair the damage. I don't think Putin understood what would happen with sanctions- I mean, no apple pay- folks can't get cash (dollars I guess).

I think he miscalculated badly, and didn't really have a plan b. And anything he does short of bombing Ukraine into oblivion, he will perceive that the world views him as having lost.

And on the Nuclear front - given the way their military equipment is performing, I'm not sure they could launch or that many of their missles/bombs would be successfully deliver (not advocating for a nuclear war! But don't feel like their is inevitable destruction.)

I do not know if this particular guy is being forced, but what he is saying is 100% correct. I have decided to get out of Russia and seek a fresh start elsewhere, perhaps return to the US. Living in Russia you had to accept a gradual dismantlement of basic human rights: freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, freedom of electing your government - all disguised under a mantle of fake democracy with fully rigged elections, opponents of the regime getting harassed and jailed on trumped up charges, and propaganda running amok spreading blatant lies on state TV to a completely unquestioning and brainwashed audience. But you learn to live with it because of economic opportunity, rich cultural offerings and having already rooted yourself in the country.

But a full-blown military invasion of a neighboring country, moreover, a brotherly East Slavic nation with whom we share common history, religion and very often family bonds, invading it like the Nazis invaded it back in 1941 is an extreme step even for such a dictatorial regime as Putler's. Russians may continue living under the illusion that the war will end soon with a full victory for Putin's army, and that economically Putin's Russia will rise quickly, switching its partnerships and trade towards China, India and Arab countries. The disappointment will sink in slowly, albeit inevitably. And perhaps this man is already seeing it and warning his compatriots back home that the awakening to the truth is going to be a harsh one.

During normal times is this the case? I don't know anything about the day to day living in Russia. Are there economic opportunity, rich cultural offerings? Hard for an outsider to understand that with the type of gov't in place.

Good luck to you and I hope your family all have the opportunity to make it safe to wherever you land. Keep us up to date on how that goes.

We saw the early seeds of a democracy coming undone here under Trump. Tried to control the Media. Tried to change laws. we are not out of the woods.
Putin is Trumps hero. not my words, look at his interactions and lust for the powers Putin has.
Im amazed the coordinated efforts to isolate Russia. Im sad for its people but they must rise against him. Democrazy is a precious commodity. We are far from pure here ourselves and stand to improve ourselves.

The video hardly looks like a guy being coerced into a statement. It flows too easy.

We can send arms and money but provoked into a war on that soil becomes a big issue. How does one really win that war? What human toil is acceptable?

Putin succeeded helping Trump get elected and Trump did his part by attempting to fracture the EU and Nato.
They saw Putin coming and its obvious in its unified approach they had that contingency anticipated by the quick actions to drive sanctions up. The Ruble decimated makes not doing business with russia more than a moral choice. If companies can’t get paid, they won’t do business.

There is a faction of Nazi like militants in Ukraine that Putin speaks of. That is true. But they are not being over run by them nor is putin saving anyone from them.

To complicate things don’t forget Trump asking Zelinskey to assist in fabricating Hunter Biden issues two years when he was in office.

The putin love from hard core ignorant GOP aids to fracture us and that party. Some admire strongman leaders like Putin and wanted Trump to be that guy.

Nalod can only start to wrap my head around all this but offers no concrete solutions that was should enter the fray. I want Russia to back off. I want sanctions lifted if Putin steps away and a true democracy can rise. I don’t know if thats even possible.

As for my Ukrainian ties, my Jewish great grandparents left in and around 1900 and lets just say before soviet rule they were quite intolerant of minorities and killed. Soviet occupation made it worse and Nazi occupation made it easy for the Ukrainian population to turn over its fellow countrymen then face harsh retaliation if resisted. To be fair, we have exacted many atrocities ourselves as Americans on others and our indigenous populations so its not entirely fair to point fingers. Ukraine has a popular Jewish president so some things must be easing up.

I’ll support a democracy willing to stand up for itself. I’ll support aid and lifting of sanctions to a Russian that will dispose of Putin, install a democracy and work towards peace than aggression.

The world changed. Most of the people did nor realize this yet but nothing will be the same.
It will be a huge drive for isolation and self-sufficiency.
Russia is closing behind iron curtain stronger that it was in cold War time.
2/3 of Russian people are behind Putin already and others have no choice to join.
Who are not, are running abroad and will all flee the county so it is no chance of Putin being removed.
He will push NATO as much as he can with nuclear threads until the areas of influence will be decided.
We need to get used to $4+ gas and lowering life style to support arm race and economy realignment.
As per Ukraine it will be most likely cut in half with 10th of millions of displaced people and tens of thousands dead on both Ukraine and Russian side.
Russians will go through the same thing as Germans after WW2.. Everything Russian will be demonized and hate applied to everyone regardless of support for Putin or not.
Essentially we are back in mid 20th century. Humanity again stepping back as progress stall.
And this US cultural wars we are so ingrained in became no more that a joke on the backdrop of unbelievable people suffering and thread to existence of the whole human kind.
