It was a great comeback. They did it the right also... playing D and hitting big shots.
To me its as simple as RJ/Randle. If they are both playing well the Knicks are a tough out and they surely showed that last year. This we have looked great again when they both play well... thats been like twice (only kinda sarcastic
)
We have enough other pieces for Thibs to piece together wins and thats literally what won him COY of the year. Ride Randle/RJ and match up other parts and go. We saw a lot of different combos finish games and we see this year he goes with the hot hands and match ups.... except for RJ and Randle. Those guys are getting 30+ and have to be utterly abysmal to get less (which has also happened)
Basically our season comes to down to RJ/Jules. Now note I am NOT asking for them to be first team NBA. They are both around 33% from 3 and 47% EFG which is **** for the two guys taking the most shots. If we can get those 3s into the 37-38% range (both finished over 40% last year) and that EFG% in the 50-55 range the Knicks will have a fantastic 2nd half, similar to last year because I also think guys like IQ/Obi/Mitch/Burks are better and Grimes/McBride are gonna help more than Frank and Theo Pinson did
