I have a ton of hw so I won't be able to catch the game tonight
(but I will be taping it). I'll probably get up tomorrow really early to watch the game before school

Lol, trust me if I could put it off until tomorrow, I definitely would. My teachers are being a pain and I have a good amount due tomorrow along with a few tests so unfortunately, I'm going to have to do the hw instead. Hopefully, I'll be done in time to catch the end though.
Fortunately, I was able to watch the whole game last night (I found a way somehow) :)
Anyway my impressions of the game...
The Marbury and Crawford backcourt looked excellent. They played very well in preseason, but to see them play well against a championship contender in a regular season game makes you feel a lot more confident. Crawford still has to work on his shot selection though, he took some shots off-balance that really didn't make any sense.
Ariza showed last night why he will be important to this team. When he is on the floor, he simply makes things happen. Sweets had a pretty good game. 10 points and 6 rebounds in only 18 minutes is a nice stat line. But, he also missed some crucial free throws that hurt us in the 4th quarter.
Contrary to what some people believed, I thought Nazr didn't play poorly. He certainly didn't play well, but when he was on the floor, I didn't see any reason to conclude that he had a bad game. Obviously I didn't like seeing him blow a layup, he needs to play the game a little smarter.
Baker played awful, I seriously didn't see anything positive about his performance last night. However, people still have to remember it was one game. Lets see if he can do anything against the Celts.
Despite KG going on a rampage, Kurt played well offensively and defensively. There is just nothing you can do against a player like KG, you let him get his, and you try to stop the other members of the team.
I have to admit I'm a little surprised that some people are already asking for Tim to be traded. Tim had some good looks, they just weren't falling. Plus, you have to be at least a little glad that Tim took it to the hole on several occassions even though he didn't deliver. It was only one game, Tim will be fine. Lenny did the right thing by playing Ariza over Tim in the 4th quarter, Tim just wasn't feeling it.
No loss is ever a good thing. Although the Timberwolves are expected to be the better team, I thought they gave us plenty of opportunities to win the game in the 4th quarter. However, we still played hard and I really loved the defensive intensity we showed at times (especially early on in the 1st quarter). If we can find a way to keep that intensity going all 48 minutes, we will be a very good team this season.
