Signed Melo, who had just chosen to opt out of the final year of his first Knicks contract, when he should have seen this as an opportunity to start over- do a sign and trade for picks and do a real rebuild.
Not sure if Dolan had a role in resigning Anthony but that contract and its NTC and trade penalty was one of the worst ever. Hopefully we find out the real story of that signing at some point, but my feeling was that we should have cut ties with Anthony at that time and used his value, which was high, to get some draft picks.
