Defense is the area I worry about. He doesn't get on players enough and some vets need that so do all young players.

Baker clearly should have been our backup from day 1 but we never saw him get consistent PT
Rose and Melo took nights off on D and never got yanked for it
Melo and Rose player isolation basketball and again he didn't call them out on it.
The biggest thing was Noah. Come on why did he keep staring Noah???

He's basically a very very smart set creator - he can set up great time our plays and even make the Triangle look good. But he doesn't mesh with Melo or veteran stars.


I think Horny will be great for the Youth Movement.

Kuz is 6-9 but plays like he's 6-4--the prototypical soft European player. Hope he can get some toughness but, since he's already 27, it's pretty unlikely.

I honestly don't think he knows what he's doing with this team. Which is a large reason they are 25-38. Is that so hard to believe? This is his second head coaching gig. I'm not one to complain about the coach. I liked Woodson and I liked Fisher. I don't like what this team is running relative to its personnel. I don't think Hornacek has done a good job or made good adjustments this year. That's 100% honest from me. Why would I possibly lie about that.

Yes. Let's hire ANOTHER coach. Great idea. Blame the coach. It's the knicks way.

Edit to add - I literally said in the post you quoted that I liked Fisher and Woodson. I also defended D'Antoni against most of the harpies here.

Anyone who thinks Hornacek is a good coach please defend this starting lineup:

Notice how those guys shot 30% and were down 22-8 after 5 minutes?

Please defend that lineup. Please. Tell me they they were trying to lose (but then I'll ask you why they bothered coming back?)

That lineup is the result of someone who does not understand this team or basketball.

That lineup is someone who has no real plan for how to win with this team. Why is Willy Hernangomez suddenly no longer starting?

Willy probably isn't starting becauae KP is really more of a center.
