The NY Times interviewed a bunch of people in the stands - a bunch of whom said Oakley didn't do anything and wasn't yelling at Dolan before the security guards came over.
Tweet was deleted or there was problem with the URL: Oakley was sitting courtside, in an aisle seat in the first row of the section near the Knicks’ bench. Accounts of his behavior varied widely. According to some spectators seated nearby, he had been calm early in the game. He took a photograph with Felice Bergman, a fan with season tickets several rows higher. ¿ △ ?

Tweet was deleted or there was problem with the URL: Wade also said this: "10years!!! 10 years Oak gave everything he had for this organization and the image everyone will be left with won't be this picture. It will be the imagine of him being taken down to the ground last night in the same arena he gave his all 2 as a player by the guards! This Could happen to any of us!!! #StayWoke We are not above this treatment!" DLeethal wrote:

Others say he “smelled of alcohol” and was hurling taunts at Knicks owner James Dolan, who was sitting rows in front of him. Word! And what of the fact that Oak yelled? This is a friggin' sports arena, thousands of people yell here. And this nonsense about it being Dolan's house. It is Dolan's business, and buying a ticket and going there made Oak Dolan's customer, and it was Dolan who was supposed to treat Oak with reverence and respect, 'cause the customer is always right, and Oak is entitled to express his opinions, whether or not Dolan liked them. And by calling security to kick out a customer, who was not touching or threatening anyone, Dolan acted like a douchebag, it is as if he spat into the collective soul of the entire Knicks fandom with his disrespect for a beloved legend and inability to build a competitive team for so long. |
