Stop it!!! He looks like a white blonde kid from Europe? Singler is not a physical player, he is a very good finesse shooter!!!
Not all blonde players are a generic type.
From what I can see he plays a lot like Derrick Williams.

WTF? Take it easy, Jesus.. Lemme ask you -- have you seen Kyle Singler play much? Yeah, he's a good shooter but he's also clearly capable of taking the ball to the hole, is a decent ball-handler himself much like this kid and I've always thought he's had some nice deceptive toughness to him. Couple that with the fact that they're about the same size and you get the Singler comparison. WHY on Earth are you talking black and white? You said that on an earlier post in this thread too. Not about that to me, man. Never has been, never will be. nbadraft.net compares him to Kiki Vandeweghe -- you gonna flip out about that too??

Should have put a smiley face.........Its just funny stuff!!!
Everyone does it!!!!
I can't believe someone went young dirk!!! Too funny!!!!!

I totally picked up what you were putting down, man. It does seem inevitable that the player comparisons for a white American or European player tend to be from that same bucket. It was refreshing to see this guy get compared to DWill upthread.

I'm hoping so also. But the knicks won't have a team there.

Same body as Bobby Jones from back in the day...

Jones was a great defender, glue guy, and finisher, but only a midrange shooter, if I remember correctly. Wish this guy was a similar defender.

I can see him replacing Williams in terms of what he can do. Had his best 3pt shooting season last year, I think. Might be fun with him and Jennings on the 2nd unit. Wonder if he is strong enough, though.

He was measured at 6'8"/6'9" with a 6'11" wingspan in 2011 when he was 22, so I assume that's close to where he is now.

and i wonder if he can defend the position at the nba level? otherwise he is pretty useless.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

The DX acouting report described him as a strong spot up shooter with limited athleticism. Are they talking about the same player?!?!?!

Keep in mind, that was from 2010. The ironic part is they described him as "Steve Novak-esqe" so I guess shooting is his strong suit.

Martin's article seems to indicate that he has improved his shot significantly.

Vertically, he looks like an NBA athlete, no doubt. Does sound like he is so-so on D, similar to Williams, who he has replaced.

I like the idea that he does not force things, and that the Celtics were interested in him.

He scores in a variety of ways – he’s excellent from either side on the low block, spots up for three with a high release point and has a pretty decent pull-up jumper. He creates cheap points from floating around the weak side and crashing the offensive glass.

He’s a threat to come flying in off the baseline for putbacks, and he’s a really smart anticipator of where the ball is going to be. That makes me think that he could probably still get those buckets in the NBA despite his athletic advantage over European opponents not being as pronounced as it would be over there.

Sounds like some guy name KP in the nba

Yeah...this will determine how much time he gets on the court...sounds like he has some limitations.

Lets hope we did our due diligence scouting him.

If this is a super cheap Derrick Williams replacement, A+ on this move. The fact that Wojo wrote about him already and other teams tried him out is a big plus to know his credibility.
Nixluva is posting triangle screen grabs, even when nobody asks - Fishmike. LOL So are we going to reference that thread like the bible now? "The thread of Wroten Page 14 post 9" - EnySpree

Martin posted a really good article on him on page 5 of the thread. If you follow the link you can see a lot of video footage. He seems like a great find. Here is the link to the article Martin posted.

Read the article and watched some of the clips. The D is a potential concern, but I expect that they scouted him well. I would rather see him myself if I'm going to sign him- I assume that Gaines and the others guys we have in Europe saw him, and he played against good competition.

Hope he works out.
