Knicks guards this season: Calderon, Sascha V, Langston Galloway, Jerrian Grant. Frankly, it's a joke that they didn't give Jimmer the call-up after he scored 37 in his d-league debut.

100% agree. I just really hope they give him a chance, and really give him floor time. I don't see why they wouldn't our backcourt has to be the worst in the NBA . I'm not saying jimmer is going to be the answer to our backcourt problems. But I'm positive none of our backcourt could do what jimmer did on a nightly basis in the d league, Wouldn't that make him the best in the NBA out of our group of guards?

I also wouldn't mind seeing trice get a call up . I just don't understand why we haven't bought out Jose yet, the dude got owned by Donald Sloan who by the way has been in and out of the d league... Jose can't even get the ball to the roll man . Jose is a huge reason we get down by double digits . We have a pg who can't get into the paint, needs at least 4 feet to shoot with success, can't find the open man, turns our team into strictly a jump shooting team. He's a chemistry killer because of his lack of ability on both ends of the floor... Jimmer is going to be better for sure if he gets a fair shot.

So if Jose made Donald Sloan look like a up and coming pg who went 5-8 fg and 2-2 from downtown and 10 rebounds 1block, 2steals a plus 6

I can't imagine what jimmer would do to Jose . He'll probably destroy Jose in practice on a daily basis .

A decision must be made on Sasha and Jose. Phil has to pick his poison when it comes to those two: either let go of Sasha or Jose. I would prefer to let go of Jose, because Sasha is a pure triangle savant.

Let Jose go to find a team that can use him as a backup

Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

Full quote - this is making me cackle.

"To be honest with you," Anthony said after being told about Jimmer's impending arrival, "I haven't seen Jimmy play in a long time. I've been hearing about what's he's doing down there in the D-League but I haven't seen him play in action for a long time."

Carmelo then chuckled and playfully chastised the reporter, "I thought you were telling me we were about to sign someone."

Melo doesn't like the spotlight off him.... Can't wait to hear what melo will say once he watches jimmer run all over our guards in practice... Something like "man we should have brought jimmy in from the beginning he's the only guard we have who can hit a contested jumper I was tired of seeing brick after brick after brick of outside shooting from our guards and we finally have a guard who can get into the paint hallelujah praise baby Jesus "

He's better then any guard we have right now it would be a shame if he didn't get pt and just rode the pine ... Again our backcourt is the worst in the league what do we have to loose by playing the kid .

Not a big fan of the Jimmer, who you would have expected to latch on to a team in all the years he's been in the league, but I'm hoping that we can catch some lightning with him.

Hopefully he comes in and plays some ****y/smart ball, with confidence.

Biggest thing for him is to play some good D in practice and on the floor, and he should think pass first (Unless he has some great open looks) until he earns some respect. I can guarantee you that if the other Knicks see him playing Galloway or Delavadova type ball he will gain acceptance.

He has to realize that this is a great opportunity for a NY boy to take a bite out of the Big Apple...maybe even his last big chance to show he can play significant minutes on an NBA team, because if any team can use some productive guard play it is the Knicks.

Hoping that he proves me wrong, and that members of the Cult of Jimmer can shove his success in my face.

EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?

Sounds like Rambis intends to find out what Jimmer can do. He knows we need help scoring the ball from the guard spot. I hope Jimmer has a big impact cuz we really need a boost.

Undersized JR Smith.....When he's hot, it's all good....Everyone screams to have him replace Jose. When he's not, all Jimmer fans go into hidding.....what else can he contribute, when he's currently shooting 2-15?

From what I've seen, which is limited.....his defense might be worst than Jose, just because of his size. He's too small to guard a shooting guard, and it appears that he's too slow latterally to guard PG's. His man has scored on him on every posession in crunch time.

He really needs to work on being a PG....More of an Allen Iverson type.....playing next to a taller PG like MCW.....

When he's shooting 2 for 15 his box score looks a lot like a typical Jose caldron night... It's going to be nice when he's on

It's weird...he almost had a triple double the last time they played. Probably getting nervous.

But before that, coming off a solid night during the All Star game, he was trash again. Looks like he's very inconsistent. And if that was his only flaw, it wouldn't be a problem. But it's not.

Just like Jose has issues, which are mostly due to age.....Jimmer is in his prime age wise, and he will mostlikely be out played by Jose.......Just on IQ and leadership alone. Jimmer leads by example....But that means he needs to have the same attempts as Melo or KD, in order to see his impact.

I hope I'm wrong and he turns into another Linsanity.....But at the moment, it's hard to see him making a positive impact with limited minutes off the bench.

I also saw issues on both ends.....He was too small to guard a big guard. And he was too slow to drive past the same big guard. Basically there are bigger guards in the NBA, with the same quickness. Thats a major issue to over come. If you are smaller than your defender, usually they tell you to use your quickness against bigger guards. But his quickness is equal to bigger guards, so theres no advantage on offense.

Jimmer works better next to a taller attacking guard like Jerian Grant.....Next to Jose, thats a disaster waiting to happen. But I can see Jerian and Jimmer playing drive a kick plays.....Thats if Jerian gets any PT. What a mess the knicks are in again this year.....
