could be, but to me the thing that really tantalizes is him at the 4. His versatility on both sides of the ball lets you play him there and next to another 7 footer. Could you imagine a frontcourt with KP and Marc Gasol? Or Drummond? Or Jordan? Not to compare to Duncan but part of what made the Spurs such a nightmare was playing Timmy at the 4. Or Ben Wallace in his prime... ooohhh that would be sick. Guy like Noah in his prime, or maybe Hasson Whiteside... you can field some crazy lineups.
Kemba is a speed guard who was making some unbelievable shots.... but I thought KP was sticking with him on the switches very nicely for a big man, using his length to challenge. KP seems like a stretch 4/5 who is quick enough to not get exposed on switches.
Yeah KP actually did cut off Kemba's drives a few times and that is amazing in itself. KP has amazing mobility and coordination for someone his size. It's just not human for a person that size to be this coordinated. I'm sure that the Knicks scouts and Phil were shocked at how well he moved when they saw him in person. Then add in his skills, length and hops and it's just insane. Now we know why Clarence Gaines, Jr. was saying take this kid #1.
