Jason Kidd was one helluva a fast PG and quite a dynamic player at Cal. I wonder if anyone takes into consideration than Mudiay did not even qualify to get into SMU which has a low threshold to get into the school?

Not if Larry Bird can come from French Lick - quit/walk out on Bobby Knight and go down as possibly the smartest player in history. No judgement from me against Mudiay.

He reminds me of Kidd coming out of Cal but it is because of his speed and court vision. Kidd was so quick for a big point.

You might play both together. Calderon will primarily play off the ball as a spot up shooter and Mudiay will defend SGs.

Associated with the Deion Sanders school, I think.

Hahn saying that Mudiay's family seems to control everything, and that's why he doesn't really have an agent.

Hahn says a lot of people feel this is a red flag. I wonder if his family pushed him into the Deion Sanders school where he stayed one year longer than he should have stayed. He was pretty much raised by his brothers.

Hahn thinks he may have problems in NYC.

Yep- Hahn said he has a lot of red flags and he's hearing a lot of things that would stop him from drafting him:

He never really said anything that would make me panic, but I find it interesting, as a company man, he's laying in to him.

Also pretty much ruled out a trade with Denver for Lawson or Faried.

a breakdown of Mudiays red flags based on his game.

Also I doubt Hahn would put himself out there on a limb to question Mudiay if there was a high chance he would be drafted by the knicks. The Mudiay stuff starts at around 28 minutes.

Watched about a minute. Mudiay shoots like someone who hasnt practiced much. If he had the right form, if he was going up strong, might chalk up the stats to other things. He had this deer in the headlights look during the interview with the media.

I said something about not comparing Mudiay to Kobe, but Russell's confidence, swagger, is Kobe-esque.

Yeah, in my experience, Hahn is the guy who will show the Knicks cards the most. It's almost like he's given a list of talking points from Dolan or something. Or he just knows how to make his bosses happy.

I still predict Mudiay will slip a little bit. Maybe Karl and the Kings take him sixth, but if the Knicks don't take him, I don't see the Magic taking yet another guard who can't shoot. Like I said earlier, Mudiay might want to work out for some of the teams slotted 6-9, once he starts slipping he'll get to teams who might have taken him, but feel concerned that they didn't get to work him out or interview him. All the sudden teams like Detroit at 8 are choosing between a guy like Mudiay who they know nothing about and haven't even met and say their no.1 guy who they've met and worked out... I think Mudiay could definitely slip on draft night.

So much speculation...

He could ALSO go to Minny after a trade to dump Rubio's deal:

Shams Charania of RealGM.com reported the development early Friday, citing an unnamed source claiming that the Timberwolves’ front office, led by general manager Flip Saunders, is considering Mudiay, Zach LaVine and Andrew Wiggins for the core of the starting line-up.

The Timberwolves have Ricky Rubio, their starting point guard the past season, under contract for the next four seasons at roughly $55 million, but there have been multiple rumors that the Spanish player wants out of Minnesota and that the franchise is willing to trade him at the right price.

Yeah, it's from RealGM. Still, we don't know anything for certain except this: Flip (and Kahn before him) have a strange way of going about the draft. Nothing is set in stone, including the notion that KAT will be a T-Wolf next season.

WOW did you really just compare Mudiay's shooting to Russells shooting?? Come on now. I understand that you'll argue your points to the very end but come on now. Lol

Im saying if you put Russell into the same setting hes still going to hit 80% of his open shots nerves or not. I just think this is a HUGE skills red flag. You start adding up 57% foul shooting all the TO's he had in CHINA looking at this video and you want him at 4 because we need a bench warmer for two years?

I never said I wanted him at 4 but I did say that if Phil and his team decide to draft him at 4 then I'm gonna trust people that do this for a living over anyone on a message board that the only way they know anything about the kid is from video clips they see on the internet. I wold take any one of Towns, OK4, Russell, WCS, Winslow or Porzingis over him and would even think about Kaminsky or C.Payne over him but won't be mad if he's the pick.

I bet the rest of the players have a no cell phone policy or camera policy in their workout. We will workout for you but no cameras. Lakers failed this kid in a big way and Mudiay's agent did too. There is no way that any of the workout videos should have left that facility.

To hell with that! no cell phone policy? Here is a kid that no one knows anything about who wants to be selected with a top pick, but he also wants privacy? What is this world coming to? If he ain't ready, he does not need to come out

Well he didn't say that and I'm thinking the Russell crew will want the no cameras. Put it this way none of them will want to screw up their slot in the draft. One bad vid and all of a sudden it's you can shoot.

There are much more people on these message boards capable of filling a lot of Gm's seats. Lets be honest here, Walsh did nothing that any die hard fan couldn't do, and phil has made moves any avg fan could do in his sleep.

ISiah abused the cap and had easy access to deep pockets

Walsh dump salary for a pipe dream

Phil is dumping expiring contracts.

Now here's the more interesting fact, IT, and Walsh had a combine 8 yr run, only 1 player remains (melo)

Phil has manage to crack a 55+ yr old record for the most losses in franchise history, and you say these guys know what there doing. There's very few GMs in the NBA that actually know what they're doing

Oh no you're one of those people?? Hahahaha There is absolutely no way in **** anyone on this board could do a better job then any GM that's in the NBA and for you to think there is just tells me you live in a whole different world than the world of reality. Hahahahaha but you just keep thinking that while you're sitting on a message board.
