I can understand Media being overly critical of Phil, but as Knick fans you'd think we'd be more understanding of the mess he came into and how much work it's gonna take to rebuild this franchise. The only thing anyone can hold against Phil isn't his decades of success but rather a few months of failure with a very flawed franchise to begin with. This is without a doubt the worst franchise he's come into.
He gave it a shot and it didn't work, so he trashed the team and is nearly completely starting over. Some complain that it's not a complete rebuild, but given how they bytch and moan over just this season of losing I don't know how they could take 3 years of losing with a total rebuild. At least the way is doing this you can have some success as you grow your young talent for the future. I think it was a reasonable compromise.
