I would only make that kind of assessment after the season is over or close to it. Right now it's still too early.

None of these guys are keepers except early and i suspect shved may be too, although $4mm to keep him around for next year would be a steep cap hit. Let's see though-- I like shved's game. He's got Jeremy Lin-type skills only taller. Other than those 2 guys, none of these guys should be back for next year. You want an honest assessment of the current roster--that's it.


It's still important to let this play out and see what happens. We will have to keep some players for some continuity. The most important thing is for Phil to bring in starting quality players and i'm pretty sure that's gong to be the focus of his off season. Then we can fill in the back of the roster with some of these guys who have proven they can function in this system. Role players look a lot better when you have frontline talent. Just look at JR and Shump.

Selling low. I wouldn't obsess over it tho. At this point those days of not getting value are over. We can start fresh with the draft and Free Agency and making smart decisions going forward.

No not really. It all depends on who we draft and who Phil can sing in Free Agency. You don't have to exaggerate the situation. Let me make it simple for you since you want to oversimplify in the negative sense. How man men are there in a starting lineup? 5 right? So we start off with Melo and hopefully a high draft pick, then we have to sign 3 more starting level players. Then you hope to develop some of your young prospects and you are on your way to building a solid team. That's the process in a nutshell. Now we have to let this play out and see what we can get.
