Knicks just need a top 4 pick. Anyone of those guys will do

exactly which is why the recent Winning streak got me nervous. Hate losing but if we are rewarded with top 4 pick its worth it

lets lose pretty at least.

Melo should not be playing ... don't really get it. Triangle training.

I think that's what it is. Triangle training now that the Knicks are somewhat playing the right way. You'd like to see more consistency from Melo as far as his understanding of his role in the triangle but at least he is getting some reps in now before he shuts it down. The reps will hopefully help him to start the year next season. He will shut it down after the allstar break then we hope for the best

Whatever Carmelo does, he better not have the surgery in NY. He needs to go to a warm area for the surgery and rehab. He needs to stay away from the cold for as long as possible. If the surgery is in NY during the winter, he will run the risk for arthritic issues.

Any time Towns drops a double double while playing along side the giants of Kentucky it is impressive. He is going to be great in the nba where he will be more of a focal point inside and with more room to operate while being surrounded by NBA shooters. Somewhere between Anthony Davis & Andrew Bynum

I actually watched a lot of this and this was Towns best game I saw all year. They have two guys out now and Stein hasnt been what he was in the start of the season(big MF red flag with Stein in several places by the way) He(Towns) was really good--good in many areas--and he played hard. I think he's going to get more minutes down the stretch which is awesome to take a hard look at him. Also was flipping with Wisconsin and Kaminsky is simply a back end lottery pick no questions asked. No way he slips past 14 at worst. He's going to be a very solid NBA player NO chance of bust there. Hes a safety pick for someone from 8-14.

Yup I agree on all accounts. I think Towns will finish on a tear and distinguish himself as the NCAA tournament approaches.

Can't forget that Towns is a baby. He's getting valuable experience on the winnest college program.

Kaminsky will be a solid pick but its shades of drafting Frye(safe pick) all over again if we strike out and land in that 7-14 range. I'd be more intrigued with Drafting Stein in that spot if Stanley Johnson is off the board

HE has all the tools. Unfortunately we don't get to see them on display since he plays for Kentucky who's guards shoot jumpers all day. In fact the college game in general is all perimeter oriented today. Towns would probably be putting up Anthony Davis Kentucky numbers if he didn't split time with Stein & Dakari

I could see Towns developing into a Patrick Ewing type of player. If we draft him we need need to need to get Pat back here to work with him.

He doesn't need Ewing. He is a superb passing big which will make him a great fit in the triangle and deadly duo with Carmelo. He can also defend, rebound and block shots at an elite level which will compliment Melo as well. Whereas OK4/Melo is a bit redundant as neither excels defensively. If anything Phil should hire Shaq to show him the ropes. Ewing played in an entirely different offense. Ewing was not passing once he got the ball inside

yeah ... def no to patrick

Ewing did not like passing and towns does.

I always held that against Ewing ... and the irony is that the excuse for Ewing not passing was always:

"He has nobody to pass to"

Familiar?

Shaq's game was pure power. Besides, he is not looking to coach anyone; he wants to own a team. Kareem on the other hand is in need of a pay check; thus, may be more than willing to coach a young talented big

He usually offers great incite on the triangle on TNT but you are right he doesn't seem interested in coaching. He would help Towns recognize when to pick his spots in the triangle but again not necessary since Towns already is an excellent passing big

Except he averaged 25pts, 10rebs, 3blks on 50% shooting and lead his team to the playoffs every year for a decade and should've won a ring if not for John Starks. He also played in the Jordan era but still managed deep playoff runs every year. 2nd year in a row we miss the playoffs with Melo and never made it past the 1st/2nd round with him
