I can answer that for him.

Develop an effective and above league average three point shot.

I didnt read past that. He's got good range on his jumper. A guy who scores at 55% around the basket and you want him shooting 3's?

Sorry dude fail.

The problems have never been with his game. Yes there are holes, but while he was healthy was one of the best frontcourt scorers in the league. Period. He got hurt and hasnt been a factor for the Knicks. You can either appreciate his efforts to get back on the court in whatever capacity he has left, or you can hate him because the Knicks first and only big FA signing since Allan Houston has been a flop.

But being pissed because he didnt learn to shoot 3s is some of the dumbest **** Ive ever read on the this forum, and thats saying a lot these days.

pretty soon it will be, amare is not consistent with his half court shots, dude no matter what he does, these 4 or 5 haters will find something.
The game against the wizards showed 50 yr old andre miller abusing our guards with veteran savy plays, getting into the paint and kicking out to wide open 3 pointers..but lets blame amare because he couldn't guard andre miller, or garret temple.

Lets totally look away from how amare was snatching boards away from Nene and gortat..no lets focus on how amare let miller light up the knicks, forget melos 6 TO's and 30% shooting.

it just doesnt matter anyway. He's gone. He's done. This is his see ya goodbye party. This is just the Knicks riding him for what we can get from him and we need that.

Actually, it was 7 TO's. I think I'm channeling tkf...

Hey, Melo stunk it up, but Stat also was reverting back to last year's iso dribbling of his feet act again. So there.
He did have a nice pass in the 4th to Melo, though.

We need a YouTubeStat thread!

The problem I have with poster wanted amrae to pass so much, we really have no one post up players other than amre and melo, we have no player getting opposing bigs in any kind of foul trouble..we are dead last in FT attemps because majority of our players take jump shots all day.

I hardly see any of our guards cutting to the rim once amare gets the ball in the 15 foot range, they all standing around the perimeter waiting to take another jumper shot that has a 40% chance of going in..We are dead last in FT attempts. we even have acy, coles (1 for 6 last night) taking jump shost.

What a ridiculous response, the object of the triangle is to cut, our guards don't cut hard enough no matter who has the ball. Why you think we shoot hella jump shots. In 4 games Jr, larkin, prigioni, shump, THJ havent even taking 20 FT's combine..Thats fcking hilarious

It's nothing personal, 'Stat' seems like a decent guy, a good human being who uses his celebrity to the betterment of orhers. I applaude that and wish more highly (overpaid) people copied his example.

Moving on to his contribution to the New York Knicks organization : utterly abysmal bordering on embarrassing. Approximately $400k a week, FOUR HUNDRED THOUSAND a f**king week. Are you kidding me?? He's absolute garbage. Seriously. I don't know the game as well as many on this forum but I know sport and I know value. I repeat FOUR HUNDRED THOUSAND a f**king week. It's insane. I have grown to love the Knicks. My background understands and respects the drought and the pain but please get real. This team does nothing ever with such charlatans on the roster. He is a fraud.

great post. He's been bad because he's fraud. Not because he's been hurt. He just sits around collecting the money the Knicks offered him.

Hey magicTs... in your opinion what could have Amare have done differently to better help the Knicks?

I expect something as constructive as "he shouldnt have signed" but feel free to let us know... Im curious.

He is a fraud. Regardless of injures his contribution to the Knicks organization has been fraudulent. $100 million in salary. For what ? He is hopeless. A few jump shots here a few rebounds there, big deal. If the guy spent half as much time concentrating on not being a complete liability and embarrassment on the basketball court as he does playing dress up and ****ing about on social media his lack of desire on the court wouldn't stick in the throat as much. As TripleThreat says at the very least look after some of his team mates, show that he actually cares. Nah, the guy is a complete joke and deserves all the criticism that comes his way. Takes his ridiculous paycheck and gives zero value for money. Hopefully traded as soon as practical.

So he got a 100 million dollar contract because he is an embarrassment on the court...lol

He's no Mutumbo on the defensive end, but then again, Mutumbo is no Amare on the offensive end, so i guess mutombo is an embarrassment.

In fact any player in the league that can't put up major numbers on both ends of the court is a pure embarrassment to the NBA. We should just get rid of every player in the league thats not a 2 way player, that way we can narrow down the league to 20 players..I know that would make you guys very happy.

Not sure where I said "he got a 100 million dollar contract because he is an embarrassment on the court" but bash on. You obviously have your own agenda so who am I to offer a different viewpoint. He may have earned a big contract and a move in the earlier part of his career but he has been an unmitigated disaster for the New York Knicks which is really all I care about and that is the point I made. His career at the Knicks should be a matter of embarrassment to him but I suspect he doesn't give a **** which is certainly the way he plays. His body language and his contribution is an utter disgrace for someone taking what he does from the organization. Most of the fans have long since given up on him as being any kind of contributor and a decent game now and again will not erase his piss poor overall 'legacy'. He will be quickly forgotten when we are eventually able to kick his sorry ass out the Garden.

he was ok.

does that make up for his defense and lack of rebounding? we were getting crushed on the boards. Don't know for sure but I am assuming that this is why fisher did not play him more.

so here is what phil is thinking ....

leading the team in rebounds primarily coming off the bench..the same player they said can't rebound. Thats not to say I wouldn't take greg monroe at this point in his career (and keep amare on the cheap side).

If hate amare just say so,

Are you saying that he is a good rebounder?

did you ever think that you are just blindly defending?

If love amare just say so.
