But I think Harden's game would seriously take a hit playing in NYC.Harden in my opinion is the sweetheart for NBA officials and ALWAYS gets tick tack fouls called on opposing players and just generally gets protected big time by officials.
If he lost that protection coming to the Public enemy #1 place for officials, NY Knicks.. His game would take a hit.
This post really sounds ridiculously speculative. Harden would be an amazing pick-up for the Knicks in a Melo trade. Add in some solid filler (possibly via third or fourth teams) and perhaps a first round pick, we might have ourselves a mega-blockbuster deal that sets us up for 2015. I mean Harden @$15mil is WAY better than Melo at $23mil+. Way way better.
I really hope this happens and we net a first rounder out of it as well. If there are back room discussions that involve using the Melo pickup to land Lebron, too...we have serious leverage.
Having that duo out West would also be preferable to Melo landing on the Bulls, even if the picks are not 16 & 19.
