on the other hand, he can make decent money in Europe and play a game more suitable to his physicality.

Either way, we good.

LOL. I apreciate a few people still have faith in bargs but realistically he is what he is. He has been a disappointing former number 1 pick who can score BUT is a terible defender and gets hurts quite often. The good news is that he is gone after next year the bad news is that we lost out 2016 first round pick
Bargs is one of the worst players I have witnessed. Before the Knicks I really didnt see him much, except when he was lighting up Gallo which was everytime. He is utterly terrible. Bad defense. Bad shot selection. No feel for the game. No BBIQ. What is his role on a winning team? He's a 7 footer who is horribly ineffecient. I had an open mind to the trade when it happened. After watching Bargs for half a year I think its one of the worst trades the Knicks have ever made.

rofl... the carmelo withdrawal has started... hahahaha

HA HA gallinari getting crapped on again-- i look forward to the tantrum-throwing that we're gonna see around here.

when you guys are done wanking each other maybe you should actually read the words written. I had to suffer through at least 2, maybe 3 Raptor's games at the garden sitting next to DJ the converted Raptors fans. Me the Knick fan pumping up my own guys talked some smack about Rooster being better than Stallion and Bargs lit us up every time.

Whats really LMAO ROFL is calling yourself a Knick fan but still having a Gallo avatar on the forum you got the boot from. THATS funny ;) (on the inside AND out)

funny thing is, they still have threads about me over there.. I have become a legend... and guess what, you are well on your way to giving me legend status here..

keep it up..

I dont doubt it! When someone's douchebaggery reaches such epic proportions people will continue to talk laugh about it for years too come.

and your welcome! I agree about your legend status here also... Just in case we trade someone's often injured but favorite role player for a perennial all star and some mental case spirals out of control for 3 years because of it, we can always say "dude just lost it... he went full-TFK"

hey, I think they have carmelo-optout-anonymous available for those who are having a rough time coping.. might want to check into that...

why is my time with realgm so important to you fish? you seem to be trying to ride that and honestly it makes you look foolish.. NO ONE.. cares about realgm over here... except you.. LOL

whats foolish is the guy who thinks *everyone* thinks like he does. Most normal thinking folks are only hung up on Melo coming or leaving as it pertains to our favorite team (Knicks) and that team's best player (Melo).

As for who cares about realgm here? Who cares about who cares? What is funny is a guy getting booted from a sports forum he once was a mod of because he just cant get over.. whatever it is you cant get over. THAT is funny. Why do I mention it? Because its funny. Despite never really liking Melo's game all that much I hoped the Amare/Melo/Chandler imitation Big 3 Lite scheme would work or at least be competitive against the Heat and the other top Eastern conference teams (lets be honest, there aren't many).

What's clear now is the experiment, strategy, whatever you call it was a failure for a myriad of reasons. It's my opinion that the franchise is better off letting Melo walk. He's not young anymore and paying guys in the their 30's almost usually goes bad a year or two before you think it will. Pretty much always, actually. Add to that that Melo isn't the type of player who anchors a team. You can build with him, sure, but you're going to need some strong personalities or an alpha dog clearly better than him. We have no chance of doing that anytime soon.

So, yeah, whatever! If Melo walks we'll be even worse than last year but we have our pick. We have our other huge contracts expiring after only one more season. It's time to see what Phil and Fisher can do. Do I wish the Knicks had been better the past couple years? Of course, but the era was a failure. Let's move on. Im not going to shed tears and certainly ain't gonna be joining Melo-optout-anonymous though I will never deny I hoped for the best while the guy was here. Adieu, dude.

Let's get that top pick in 2015.

I actually think Melo might still want to be here in NY but honestly wants to see what other teams are offering. What is also unclear is what Phil thinks of Melo being here. Does Phil really want to keep Melo or does he hope to be able to make a sign n trade deal to build a new team? I can't say I have a real feel for what Phil is really thinking.

For those that hate on Melo I think that it's a bit silly. The man can play and really it's not about him as much as it is about the rest of the team. If the rest of the team is capable of playing good BB then he can add his game on top of that, but we haven't been able to put a consistently good team around him. I just don't believe that Melo is a problem for a team that is well built. As i've said before I don't have a problem with Melo, but if he goes i'm hopeful that we can get something for him and rebuild.

The tantrum throwing has been going on for 3 1/2 years but really picked up when guys got kicked off realgm for their tantrums over there. Hopefully when this is resolved the tantrum throwing will stop. I wouldn't expect posters that have been here for awhile to display the immaturity and biases that the new or more frequent posters that aren't allowed on realgm forums do.

Exactly what are "the other options" Melo is exploring? He knows his max contract value from NY is $129M and the most anyone else can offer is $96M. I also understand that $33M difference is lessened by the high NY State and NY City tax structures.

Is it simply a matter of seeing other possible teammate combinations that can be constructed around him? Houston (Harden and Howard) and Chicago (perpetually broken Rose and Noah) are both better teams than NY but, even if they add Melo, are hardly Finals--let alone championship--locks.

Again, I'm just trying to see exactly what Melo's looking for, understanding that he may not even know.

As every normal man Melo is looking for comfort zone.
Money is part of it, being in control is a part of it, playing the style of the game he likes is a part of it, not being the one responsible for the failure/success is a apart of it, be the main figure of the team is part of it, winning is apart of it.
In NY Melo gets the money but hardly anything else.
With Phil/Fish at the helm he will need to obey. Is this worth extra 4 mils after tax yearly... we are going to see.

Fish, TKF is a pro argue thread machine who need to have the last word. Your taking the bait. He enjoys the engagement and its not the subject but the sport of thread "Jousting". One can argue the Value of Melo all day long. I've read both sides in length and really there is not an incorrect view. The haters have valid points as does the homers!

I was convinced that Melo was gone, but then again, it's entirely possible that after weighing everything carefully those other situations may not be as great as they seem. As was mentioned, the Bulls will have to subtract assets and talent in order to add him and thus it's not that much different from NY in that it may take a couple of years for the team to reach Title contention. He doesn't even know what level Rose will play at when he returns or what other role players will be there after clearing room for him. Houston has a hard guy to play with in Ball hog Harden. Harden and Melo wouldn't exactly set the league on fire defensively either.

Now with NY there are no guarantees of exactly what the roster will be built but the one plus is that it's wide open after 1 season. He only has to get thru one year and then the cap room opens wide and there's options to remake the roster with some added talent that may fit better and be healthier than Rose in Chicago and more team oriented than Harden in Houston. Plus I give the Knicks a big plus for having a very strong front office now. I think the harmony in the Knicks leadership is actually better than Chicago where they were thinking of getting rid of Thibs. Plus the offensive system should be better in NY too. I don't love what McHale is doing in Houston offensively. It may turn out that in the NY has the most credible system and culture going forward. Maybe Melo considers this when he puts it all out on the table and compares.

i Will do this, I will take all of my post to martin, and I will take your post and fishmike post and let martin look at them along with andrew if they have the time and we can tell who is trolling. so far fishmike post consists of trying to get back at me for calling him out long ago.. you now are spending time not talking ball, but trying to heal your anger because of our last conversation.. why not stick to ball, you didn't have to comment on this at all... it is kind of foolish........ so lets not talk troll.. do you want to do that, I am more than willing to put my posting history to the test, if not liking a player is trolling then everyone on this forum is done..

How old are you?

I thought you were not supposed to ask that questions on a forum....

I will give you a hint, I registered on UK in 2001, so I am older than 10.....

I don't know but it's really annoying ...

Fish, TKF is a pro argue thread machine who need to have the last word. Your taking the bait. He enjoys the engagement and its not the subject but the sport of thread "Jousting". One can argue the Value of Melo all day long. I've read both sides in length and really there is not an incorrect view. The haters have valid points as does the homers!

nalod how about focusing on the character called nalod. I don't need a spokesman, I really don't.. thanks....

He is the one commenting on everyone of my post... not the other way around...

Let me ask u something whats the dollar amount you place on Anthonys game, I dont think he is a max player if u want to win an NBA title but I think 15 million if he isnt the best player is workable
