The Cats are going to win the 'chip. They've always had the most talented roster, just took the frosh some time to learn to play together. After watching the Wichita St. game, it was clear to me that they had arrived and was going to the final four. Kentucky will avenge their SEC Finals lost to Florida next Monday night and win their second 'chip in and last 2 years. I like the 'Cats team but I cannot stand Calipari....Hate that he's probably gonna win another one....Happy for Rod Strickland though.

Uf fans want revenge but I am always scared of a guy like Napier that consitentluy make bad shots. The last game Wilbekin go injured late and Napier hit a jumper at the buzzer.

Uconn is playing better in the middle on defense since the last time we played. Napier is a star--what I would call a 6-1 Paul Pierce not appreciated(even by me) after 4 years for what he is. Its pretty simple--you have to guard Napier to 30 feet and then hes strong and quick going to the hoops with the advanced moves. Notice we couldve really won that game going away IF guys hit their open 3 balls on Uconn and Mich State could do nothing but shoot 3's. I know the game plan next game--they will put 6-7 Giffey on Walker and follow him up with 6-6 Kromah--we dont want him going off---put pressure on the ball all game and use our big men to play solid position D without fouling and having secondary rebounders crash both end s of the boards. Bottom line is defense and rebounding--we'll play better offense next week.

Kentucky is good because they catch you off guard, you don't know who's gonna score and who to defend when the game is on the line.

Florida will win because they are stronger and their guard won't be afraid against Uconn guards pressure defense.

They will meet on Monday

I have high hopes for Uconn. We were +10 against Florida at home--didnt play well down the stretch but won anyway. Uconn's interior defense is miles better than it was at the beginning of the year and the ball defense the last two games has been suffocating good teams with good guards. For Uconn to win we need to make sure Frazier stays in check and rebound. I feel we can score 65-70 points--its all about keeping Florida around 60. If we can do that--we can win. Florida has won to many games in a row--little too much disrespect for Uconn. I think Uconn has the best player and in basketball that mean a lot.

I think you maybe overrating a win at home against a totally different UF team. A team that didn't have its back up point guard Kenny Hill who gives Wilbekin a break on Offense where he can move over to the two and focus on being a shutdown defender. Like I said before that 1 pt win also came with Wilbekin out the last 3 minutes due to injury and he is probably as clutch a player there is offensively and defensively. I do worry about Uconn and Napier because great defense is not enough against him.

Uconn keeps winning. Kentucky will be a tall order tough match up I wanted Wisconsin 2win but it is what it is and I have a good feeling we will frustrate the wildcats right away with intense ball pressure post double teams and good offense by many under rated uconn skill players. Ryan boat rights d reminds me of so. He's quick skinny yet powerful and explosive and he makes it difficult to get where they want to go. Uconn by6

UConn pulled it off played better than I thought, but that Florida PG got hurt, that was the difference maker in their backcourt. Not taking ANYTHING away from UConn guards they played great, but when your guy who stirs the drink is hobbled and can't penetrate and feed the bigs for layups, then you had no chance of beating UConn.

Everybody 1-4 can handle the ball for Kentucky so UConn's guards harassing opposing pg's will end tonight, these guys are bigger and can post up both guards for UCONN.

We'll see. What did Mike Tyson say--it's all good until you take that punch in the head. I know Kentucky has dominant inside players and will get their fair share of rebounds 2nd chance points. However this is an older more experienced Husky squad that has atleast 3 NBA caliber players in its starting line up and still has a frontline of 7-0 6-10 6-9 6-9 to use. Dont count out our frontcourt--they dont need to score too much they need to protect the paint. I watched a tape of Louisville Kentucky in the tourney where the Cradinals got off big. I think Uconn uses the same forumla but sticks with it for 40 minutes. Should be a good game. I expect Uconn to control from minute 1.

UConn was impressive last night along with their head coach Kevin Ollie, he's the real deal !

He should be getting a pay raise along with more great recruits coming to the school.

4 'Chips in 15 years...Wow! Who would have ever imagined that when Calhoun was hired in Uconn back '86 when the Huskies were mere fodder to the beasts of the Big East (SJU, Gtown, 'Cuse), that 25 years later, not only would they surpass and become the best program in the Big East, but now they are perhaps the best BB program in the country.

Their run over the last 15 years outs them right there with UNC, Kentucky, Duke, Indiana and any other traditional BB powerhouse. Congrats to Ollie, but Jim Calhoun is one of the greatest college BB coaches in the history of the game and one of the best program builders ever.....congrats to Uconn....

Yeah, I think Napier has proven he can be solid PG along the lines of an early Jameer Nelson. Napier may not ever be a top 10 guy, but he'll be above average. Randle and Young have the potential to be really good. Both Harrisons should stay in school an extra year.

99 was when Uconn won their first title...I believe the Cliff Robinson team won the NIT in '88. Duke North? Nah, the way things have gone lately, Duke, I'm sure aspires to be "Uconn south"...

The thing with Uconn is we rarely get any Mcdonald All Americans or top 15 type recruits. Weve had a few but mostly we recruit the secondary kid and theyve always put a lot of emphasis on the Pg's. If you can get two or even three of those types--real good PG youre versatility and control of the game stays very high. Also having guys stay multiple years--they befriend each other--work hard to become better is a factor with the good tough coaching. Ollie is a throw back coach and at 41 hes got a 25 year career ahead of him.

I know its the college game versus the pros--but watching a really tough basketball team year after year shows you want you want your NBA team to look like--how its coached etc.. Mental toughness should be a very strong focus going 4ward with the Knicks.
