Dolan's meddling is problematic but no owner, especially one that pays out over 90 mil in salaries prior to cap penalties, is ever going to stay totally hands off. It just doesn't happen and they certainly aren't going to negotiate something like that in a contract. You have to hope that he respects Jackson enough to allow him to do his job if PJax ends up coming back to NY.

this owner will have to. he has presided over the worst era in knicks history. otherwise he will never be able to hire his betters, only cronies.

"problematic"

He doesn't have to do anything. Its his team. You have to hope that he allows whom ever he hires to do the job but if you pay the bills and own the team you have say. Real world stuff.

uhhh the guy doesn't live in the real world. his money acts as insulation from the real world.

and it isn't his money it's his father's. he was born crossing home plate thinking he hit a homerun. that is not the real world.

I know who the owner is and I know his history. That doesn't mean that he negotiates a deal with someone that gives away all of his ownership power. That doesn't happen in the real world. Has he sucked as an owner, absolutely. That doesn't mean that he recognizes it or steps away from it while still paying all of the bills.

then nobody of quality will come here. that's the price dolan ultimately pays but like i said he can spooge into piles of his inherited cash to comfort himself.

anyway you may not understand this, but an owner properly delegates power and organizes what he owns from the top down.

what you are talking about is a tyrant.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

That's it. I don't understand it. Thanks for explaining what an owner properly does.

exactly- he was diabolical in his advisory role with the Pistons this offseason. I don't think he's ever had GM input into his rosters. Plus it will deter a good coach coming here.

The bold is not necessarily true....Riley presence hasn't hurt coach Spo...Phil could mentor a young up and coming coach...Similar to Riles and Spo...
