Amare or Nene wouldn't have been able to handle NY as young players and all that it entails, they would have regressed with of the court interest.

On draft night, Amare would have exclaimed, "the Knicks got my back." And smiled from ear to ear.

Upon hearing he was taken by New York, Nene danced the samba on the stage at Radio City Music Hall. Then he put on a Knicks hat, smiling broadly. Yeah, he was real scared.
