Guys are always saying we need to get younger, now your rooting for CDR over murry. Please, CDR is a joke..Actually he's not a joke, he's just not a good fit for this current roster.

Why are we talking about CDR when we already have 3 SG's that are far superior to him in Shump, JR and TH-JR. Add in the fact that Woody likes to use 2 PGs on the floor together and we have guys like Felton/Beno/Murry who can move over to SG --- you could make the argument that CDR would be #7 on Woody's SG depth chart.

We need to focus on adding at the 4 and 5 spots.

It's also highly likely that our 15th man will be somebody from someone elses roster -- happens all the time.

really not sure,

there is nothing in cdr's history that makes me feel like we are missing out on a golden nugget here,

he's just another guy that will be long forgotten on opening day

Golden nugget? The only golden nugget on these forums is Danillo "rooster boy" Gallinari

These two guys made the roster--these are injury or foul trouble guys. Ike showed through three games(and his NBA career that he can score and rebound quite ruggedly and we need that if he is called upon. Murry is an energy spot three guard rotation player who should be thought of as a rookie and signed to a 2 yr gua 3 yr contract.

James Johnson was released from the Hawks

Or

Stephen Jackson
Shawnee Williams (if cut by Lakers)

we just don't have much speed/youth/DEF with MWP/Melo as our only true SF's that are really between SF/PF
MWP was thinking about retirement for this year until Knick's started showing interest because his body was just giving up but he worked out to stay in the league and always wanted to play for The Knick's

But I just don't him to be the next Rasheed Wallace, Jason Kidd, Kurt Thomas, Camby etc, and break down in the season Woodson will likely ride him despite his age and lack of speed
We don't want to break him down and we don't want Melo to defend the Lebron's, Durant's, Paul George, Rudy Gay, Harden, and talented scorers in the league

I think he can really be an asset if he is on the right team with his size, length, athleticism, and versatility on DEF at SF/PF/ bigger SG's at 6'9, 250pds

Darko Milicic or another legit 7 foot Center that we should look in to with post up abilities, passing for a BIG, PnR, and a shot blocker
As for Tyson, when he won in Dallas, he wasn't a starter till late in the season and didn't put up big minutes as well, playing behind Brendan Haywood
That was a couple years ago as he is much older now and I think we should learn from that but need legit C's to do so

and for our training camp invites

Diogu has earned a spot in my opinion with his hustle, rebounds, DEF, 12 foot jump shot, and CONSISTENT OFFENSIVE REBOUNDS AND PUT BACKS
But we don't have many legit 7 foot Centers outside of Chandler and our PF's are not good defenders besides Martin who probably plays better as an undersized C

Murry or Darrius Morris, ex Laker (don't know where he is, if he is still in the league, at the PG/SG)
Murry has much to learn but would welcome him on the Knicks

I don't think we need CDR, he is a undersized SG that is SLOW, and is a scorer
He cannot play or defend PG or SF, while we already have Iman, JR Smith, and Tim Hardway JR that all play the same position
While a player like Murry and Darrius Morris can actually defend 2 positions and play some PG, with much better defends and a "better fit"

I think Udrih was not in game shape the first couple of games but he has shown his craftyness the past couple of games especially with penetration/finishing, and creating for team mates, and PnR

This is why the whole "we need more blacks" interlude was so ironic.
