You're entitled to do what you want. I would ask who is really out odpf their mind though? The person who merely suggests alternatives to self inflicted sadism or the sadistic one who continually points out how he is "effed" and has done this with multiple screen names on the same board.

he is on a mission of mercy doing what he is doing. he feels that you can either be taught or awoken. i think that is admirable.

The issues with using this proverb......

A). You are making the assumption that the one doing the teaching or awakening is in the know....and does not have to be taught or awoken himself. Further, if someone was truly in the know, why would they be wasting their time on an anonymous message board? They could be using that knowledge in far more effective ways......for Instance, in Vegas. The answer is simple of course, that you guys don't really know for sure how the Knicks will fare.........but seem to have some type of superiority complex that you know more than everyone else.

B) you are making assumptions on how much the "one" who you feel needs to be taught or awoken "knows" given that your only exposure to that person is from a handful of posts on an anonymous message board.

C) you are revealing that your true intentions on this board are to continually educate or awaken people as to how bad you feel the Knicks are.....which at a minimum is a form of trolling. When you use the term mission of mercy......it comes across as something a serial killer would say.

While you may be good at googling and citing basketball stats on a message board, apparently reading comprehension is not your thing.

1) Players are players, no matter what team they play on. The Knick uniform, in and of itself, has no intrinsic value.
2) Stupid Knick management moves temper my personal feelings and loyalty towards the Knicks.
3) I am dead serious when expounding upon what Knick professionals should actually be doing, playing and deciding. Yes, I truly believe I know better.
4) The Knicks must continually earn my loyalty, or even my dry interest.
5) I will not become a homer, just as a matter of course. I find it intellectually stunting and unfun.
6) While I honestly find other franchises and their staff and players much more interesting, I will not tolerate anyone's derisive comments on my own personal Knick fandom. Even while I'm spending the majority of my posts on said interests.
7) I've been a devil's advocate so long on this board, that any other position would seem weird and uncomfortable. No matter what the team does.
8) Secretly, I hope the Knicks never win a chip. My own validation is much more important than some chip won by a group of insipid malcontents, owned and managed by a deranged troll.
9) I consistently find that sarcasm just does not translate well in this medium. Even with smileys.

hey man, IMHO we are all hoping for the best season ever from the knicks, but some of us would like to hold our players accountable as fans, since the coach obviously doesn't. i mean if felton has a string of say 4-5 bad games at the beginning of the season... do you bench him? these are the hard questions Woodson needs to ask himself.

this whole "best shape of my life" statement is something we have all heard too many times. why is the accountability only directed at select players like shumpert and not at chandler?

Absolutely Im hoping people won't piss on this team incessantly when they're playing well and its more than one person. You make it sound like the Knicks playing well is far fetched.
