Yeah there were for sensible picks then Hardaway. I thought for sure we were drafting a Back up PG or a Back up Center

pablo / udrih

metta / shump
melo / amari / bargs
chandler / kmart / bargs

12 man rotation? Another tough decision for Woody....

Udrih is a 31 year old proven vet. Mike Woodson will greet him with open arms. Do you think he talks to his Indiana homey Grunwald about acquisitions? Absolutely.

Pablo plays because he is more comfortable in his role and a year wiser.

Ray Felton plays because he is a warrior who knows he has to prove himself every day.

Any questions?

Also, Beno is capable of playing some shooting guard. He's more of combo guy than a true point guard anyway. My biggest concern is that this move wouldn't leave is with anyone capable of defending the speedier point gurads. Beno plays worse D than Prigs and Felton.

Knicks went into free agency with 3.1 mil and vet minis to offer. Not sure where the 'this is the Knicks we don't even have enough money to entice this guy to here without begging comes from'. You follow this stuff enough to understand the situation the Knicks were in at the start of the offseason. Fussing about it sounds like you were ignorant of the situation.

Ha...more opinion policing!

Seriously. It's a great forum but I could do without the opinion policing. Violations of forum etiquette should be policed but not opinions you disagree with.
There are opinions and there are responses that have the intent of being provocative. Maybe if you say something like the original post you could include a list of guys that have given up millions to play with a certain player on another team. Something to make it not appear that you are just talking junk.

There are polite ways to ask for more info. It's clear that the opinion policing rubbed several posters the wrong way here.
I would not call what TKF said remotely close to the kind of trolling that requires an intervention from the forum moderators.

Bonn you are the wrong person to comment about what TKF said or didn't say. Some guys run in the same pack. Look I can voice my displeasure and move on. There are others who can't and they stay negetive on every post. And sometimes I believe they really don't think that they are doing anything wrong because they've been doing it so long.

Well maybe you can post a list indicating which posters can talk about what topics

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Udrih would be great for us. Not phenominal, but definetely solid. With the addition of Bargs we have more scoring and could use every bit of playmaking that we can add. Lets hope he is ready to play for a contender and take a paycut to be able to do it. As far as minutes, he might see more PT than expected, Priggs will be on limited minutes no matter if he is starting or not.

I am surprized that after all these years, tkf is still tkfing the tkf out of some of you. The guy is here to provide flavor and to add some yang to nixluva's yin, if you will. He has mastered mixing in just enough bball talk to enable himself to do what he does, so its nearly impossible to call him out on it.

Go Knicks and Troll Harder !

That is a reasonable question. We have four max/near max contract players, and we still aren't a very attractive option. If you spend your money on max contracts well, players will want to join your team.

but only ONE is "arguably" a franchise level talent so, that premise really doesn't work with the Knicks. IF Amare was balling like he did the season of his 1st year..then that would be valid.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

I think TKF brings a lot of basketball IQ to the forum. Just because his opinion is different does not mean he is a troll. That is my opinion.

Udrih will play as he is pretty darn good. He is a real PG. As far as defending, I think that MWP, Shump and Chandler can help hide his deficiencies a bit. IN reality, this Knicks team just has to do enough defensively. Like Kidd, I think Udrih will come up with the plays when they are needed. He is a ball mover like Prigioni. IMO, he is just the kind of "under the radar" type move that NY needs to make. They need more TEAM players and less ME players.

Prigioni played very well. We couldn't let him go. Definitely getting Prigioni is better than a chance at getting Udirih. It sucks we've got so much money tied up on overpaid players and have such limited FA options though.

if we had let Prigs go, guys here guys would be up in arms. Prigs deserved to be a priority and we know he fits the roster while we have no idea how Udirih would mesh.

That's the case everywhere. I think this is one of the gentlest forums actually.

Agreed. I don't get why it's necessary to insult everyone who is not happy with the direction of he team. When all we want is a deep playoff run for the first time since 99. Personally I suffered too much with this team. It's impossible for me to waive my knick pom poms with the East improving everyday. Hopefully I'm there in 2015. Until then I will continue to be critical of every lateral move. At this rate I might just give up arguing all together. It's not like I will get any apologies if things to wrong this year as I fully expect

at the same time, is it necessary to inject your (not you ^personally) disillusionment with the team into every thread you post in? That's how it feel at times and it can start to feel like it's dragging the thread down or taking it somewhere it was never intended to go.

If u replace Amare with a legitimate Max player like Chris Paul they would be here. The team is not quite good enough to be considered.

Sure, take the worst contract of any team and replace the guy with Chris Paul. That team will be much more attractive.
Amare has the worst contract in the league at this point.

Why is it we are stuck with the only untradeable contract. People thought Arenas was once one of the worst contracts, but even he was moved.

The ONLY consolation I see is that Amare's contract could prove very valuable in his last year

Im sorry...while i admit that priga was a nice surprise i often felt he was limited. His reluctance to shoot made the game 5 vs 4. Plus at his age i dont getvwhy we signed him using over half of our 3mill MLE. I think hes a nice 3rd stringer while udrih is a by far superior player.

I am going to admit I don't know much about udrih. It's possible he went unnoticed by me because he played behind Jennings and Ellis. If he really is a ball mover like prigs but better offensively he will help. The kinda guy who you look past the stats and has a positive effect on the team like Prigs. So I would start him with Prigs as his backup for 20mins and then move Felton for a draft pick. Felton might net us a late 1st since PGs are scarse. If Felton continues to start and udrih and prigs get inconsistent minutes than the offense will continue to struggle as it did last yr before Woodson finally played prigioni. Unfortunately I agree there is no way he takes vet min at 31 at the pg position
