Anyone know what role/title does Larry Johnson actually have with the Knick's?
Wouldn't it make sense to have him be one of our big men development coaches, like Hakeem is for the Rocket's?

It would have been ideal for Rasheed, one of the first only stretch/post 4/5's back in the day that are more common today, to be one since he has the inside out abilities and was also a good defender

But with LJ, being an undersized PF, he can teach the art and importance of lots of things, including, fighting for positioning, boxing out, even DEFENDING for someone with no height/athleticism *as a Knick*, the toughness of NYK basketball, and of course the lost art of POSTING UP with facilitating to initiate an offense in todays NBA game, it would help team mates skills of playing OFF THE BALL, especially role players

Maybe even the infamous way to draw a 4pt play and developing a wide open 3pt shot for a BIG to use ONLY when left completely open or when needed

The one good thing about THJ is you KNOW what he is. He's gonna grow and improve into a solid NBA role player. You don't need a superstar at every position. You need dependable role players that allow your team to function at a high level.

A kid like Tyler has a ton of upside, but you really don't know for sure if he'll every realize all that talent. I really like the kid. He's got amazing quickness and agility to along with his size and power. Also Tyler has skill and touch on his jumper. Can't really see how anyone can't see the talent and the Knicks need to sign this kid, cuz he's got a ton of upside that just needs to be properly developed.

I just cut up a Highlight Lowlight video of him against the Clippers in the Summer League ,his defense was putrid. He has the look of an NBA player. His size and athletic ability is good enough. Doesnt seem like any teams have kept him around long enough
