I don't know about that, omer was a double double guy, and re directing and blocking shots, plus he could hit FT,s and had a mid range jumper, I would trade him for tyson any day of the wk..

There better no doubt, but they run up and down like MDA likes to do, and DH is not good in that kind of offense

Why would Houston trade Asik for Tyson when they just signed Howard?

Not sure if Asik gets traded for Tyson but espn reporting that Asik has requested a trade and Rocket management does not intend to comply.

They have zero use for Tyson with Dwight already in there. Parsons can play spot minutes at PF so they need a PF. We will need to get another team involved unless we trade Bargs straight up Asik and Lin.

dwight howard is one of the more overrated players in the nba. he is not as tall as he is listed and he has few if any real offensive skills including free throws.

but guess what-- for all his immaturity and clownishness he seems to have realized his limitations and agrees with the perception among the enlightened that he is indeed overrated. good for him! maybe he is maturing as a person and knows how to do math. a shorter contract with a 7% paycut from what the lakers offered.

winning may actually be more important to him than money at this point so he leaves a losing and dead-end situation for less money but a brighter upside. for perspective he is virtually the same age as carmelo anthony forced his way onto the knicks.

i think shaq has an excellent understanding of the game of basketball but i think he is not really putting himself in howard's shoes when it comes to another man's decision.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

I'm just sorry it's over.

Now we have to wait until 2016 to find out the next team that won't be winning championships anytime soon.

Morey is proving to be a man among boys. He has transformed his team from missing the playoffs to title contenders in paper in 18 months.

2011-2012 Roster
Point Guards: Kyle Lowry, Goran Dragic, Jonny Flynn
Shooting Guards: Kevin Martin, Courtney Lee, Terrence Williams
Small Forwards: Chase Budinger, Chandler Parsons, Marcus Morris
Power Forwards: Luis Scola, Patrick Patterson, Jeff Adrien
Centers: Samuel Dalembert, Jordan Hill, Hasheem Thabeet

to

Point Guards: Jeremy Lin, Patrick Beverley, Isaiah Canaan
Shooting Guards: James Harden, Francisco Garcia
Small Forwards: Chandler Parsons, Omri Casspi
Power Forwards: Omer Asik, Terrence Jones, Donatas Motiejunas
Centers: Dwight Howard, Greg Smith

Hot damn. I don't think this guy is done. Watch him flip Asik into a top PF.

When he took over, the expectation was that this team was built for a decade around Ming and MacGrady. He rebuilt the team after ridiculously bad luck with both those players and in the process they never even dipped below .500.

I am thinking the same thing but Tyson and Dwight would not work. Timberwolves are looking to trade Love for the longest time and Morey is in love with Love or Aldridge.

I see this deal happening and I think it helps all teams involved.

NY trades - Tyson Chandler and Tim Hardaway Jr.
NY receives - Omer Asik and Jeremy Lin

Houston trades - Omer Asik and Jeremy Lin
Houston receives - Kevin Love

Minny trades - Kevin Love
Minny Receives - Tyson Chandler and Tim Hardaway Jr,

NY gets the center and pg we need. Our lineup would be
C-Asik
PF-Bargs
SF-Melo
SG-Shump
PG-Lin
Bench-JR, Pablo, Felton
We can now look to trade Felton for a bag of chips.

Houston gets their stretch 4 and rebounder to pair with D12. Their lineup will be..
C-Dwight
PF-Love
SF-Parsons
SG-Harden
PG-Beverley
Bench-Greg Smith, Montijunas, Garcia...They will be deep.

Minny gets a PnR center and young SG to play with Ricky. Their lineup will be..
C-Tyson
PF-Derrick Williams
SF-Sved
SG-Hardaway JR
PG-Rubio
Bench will need some work.

Yup Yup

Yup Yup

Tyson and Nikola Pekovic don't really work. If Minny gives up Love they want a PF back.

They would move one of them to backup C. I think Pekovic moves to the bench. They would be a pretty good C tandem. They also have Derrick Williams at the PF spot.

Love is a borderline high-level all-star, I would assume Houston/Knicks gotta add in more.

How about Houston adding Greg Smith to the package and going to Minny? Love for Tyson, Hardaway Jr and Greg Smith.
