Lin is not an assets even though he's young, he's no where close to playing on the level of his contract, and by the time it expires, we'll have cap room to sign him or any other young player for a reasonable amount.

So am I to believe the Twolves have a better future then the Knicks because they have young talent, and are a fixture in the lottery yr after yr

Every playoff team has a 3 yr plan, we are essentially in yr 2, if things don't workout in 2013/14 season, then 2014/15 will see major moves with our core contracts in the final yr

The Twolves have Kevin Love who is better than any player on the Knicks, so yes, they do have a brighter future. Their GM is horrible though so that somewhat limits their potential.

Rose is not the answer.

If Kevin Love is better than any player on the Knicks than why are the wolves perennial lottery when the Knicks are a 54 win team? Sometimes I really wonder about this place...

Don't forget, they have Flip Saunders now. Things could even start looking up for the Wolves on that front.

Im not big on K Love myself---but lets get real about the Knicks. We have 1 50 win team in the last 12 years and the Wolves had 4. We could be one year wonders for all we know right now.

Thats true, but having melo and woodson pretty much gives you 50+ wins, woodson has proven that much and melos been in the playoffs his entire NBA career. It's the playoffs that concerns me..

wow, folks really down on love?

the season before last he was beasting.

his tfg was 57% and shot 37% from 3.

if we had he, melo and tyson we'd be ridiculous on the boards too.

kevin love is..., his team is also young, always have been.. they won't be a perennial lotter team for long... especially if they can stay healthy...

I am not the biggest kevin love fan, but the guy is tough as nails and is a very good BASKETBALL PLAYER... would he be the best player on the knicks right? sure.. but that isn't saying a whole lot, although.... I still think love is a fine player...
