Good call.

pierce's footwork was magnificent during his 4-18 performance.

I hope he enjoys his new fishing rod.

His playoffs finished just in time for him to audition for 'Dancing with the Stars'...

Good idea. And I'll be me. That doesn't leave much for the other guys to do, but hey, life is like that - like musical chairs.

Guns, The first rule to retire is when you "retire" is to do it, not talk about it.

I have done this from time to time, take a few days, take a step back, and adhere the advice to not "argue" every point, is a good one.

The homers will love and the hater will hate.

The answers are in the games, not the opinion.

Papabear Says

Haters will be haters and homers will be homers. Some board members love confrontation and the thrive off of it. And no matter what you say they will love to take you and others who have you opinion on. The best way to get around that is to just avoid getting sucked in. I'm a homer but that does not mean that I agree with everything the Knicks are doing. Last night I wanted Woodson fired if we lost this series and I was also upset with Melo. But today after thing cooled down I asked myself when was the last time we went to the second round of the playoffs? So I will just have to trust this team. There is nothing we can do anyway. It not like we own the team or have majority stock in the Knicks. We are just fans hoping to see our team win a championship. Years ago I left the forum for a year and came back. When you get hooked on something it's hard to break away and thats where I'm at now. I'm hooked of the forum and can't break away especially when the knicks are playing the best basketball in 13 years.

Ive actually spent most if time posting on boards when my sports teams were bad. I guess venting frustration, seeking ways to improve. This is an exciting year but there's also a lack of problems and drama for fans to bitch about when you're winning. I guess winning is the plague of a sports forum?

There will be very few Jeremy Lin remorse articles this week.

Then again, facing Zach Randolph or David Lee could get interesting.

What would we do without ChuckBucks passive aggressive subliminal digs at the lovers objects of affections!

BTW, its ok to vent and get mad at the team you love as one would yell at the TV.

Here, we are the TV, and we yell back!

Guns, we know your still here!

Think of the melt downs that TMS and NYknicksMentality had? They argued every point over and over again.

one has to know there are times when one is wrong! Admit it. Also, make fun of yourself form time to time. Nalod is not wrong to often because I am a fence sitting centrist. That really bothers some but lets be real, I don't care if Im wrong at times, and I try to take both views and digest them, so in a sense, I TRY to stay open. I was never a melo fan, and instead of hate I stayed open and let the guy have a chance to be a hero. Its a work in progress.

Hater, centrist, Lover......we all the same, we here because we want to be and are fans.

A few rules but mostly easy to follow. For me its easy, argue the subject not the person.

I know how you feel Guns, I can relate. The fact tgat this thread was 5 pages long before I even saw it will tell you how disengaged I am with the board. I check in once every 2-3 days and sometimes post on non basketball threads. It stopped being fun long time ago - now it's just a relationship between me and the board - we argue a lot all the time.

You are def one if my favorite posters but I won't ask you to stay. I know how irritating it is to have to read some of the muck flying around this place. At the end of the day it's just a basketball forum. If it causes stress it's def not worth it.

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

he's an nba champion, an nba finals mvp, and a first ballot hall-of-famer. it's just silly not to give a great player his due, just as it's mean-spirited to single out one game to try and make a point about his footwork. but like i said you be you.

And only because i want the knicks to cleanup certain things in order to beat Miami. Not a fan of having it rubbed in my face. I dont like but all I could do is step away but like I said in the original post I will return after a few winning seasons. I think peace will be restored somewhat if that happens. Thanks for all the well wishes

do like I do, and take little breaks, don't even announce it, because now, when you want to come back, this will probably be thrown up in your face as well, unfortunatly, but anyway.. take care bro..

Anyway its been real. Made some great friends over the years. I will keep in touch

Go Knicks

Maannnnn can I relate. I have actually taken a break from this forum (a few times) when it seems tensions are high and the respect level for posters drops. I eventually find my way back and I hope you do to Guns. We don't agree on every topic but, we usually aren't that far apart either. You will be missed.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt
