Friendly banter between players is great! Its all good fun and no villains either player.

Novak excels in a system where the ball movement is frequent. Not all players can create, and not all can do what he does.

He is a valuable player when the ball is moving.

Nate is a playful little fella and good natured. His problems are with concentration. He is not ours to worry about anymore.

Maybe he is outgrowing his ADD? Good guy, great talent, but not the sharpest crayon in the box. If he was 6-5 and focused he would be Kobe.

ok,novak can shoot .44% from three.. that is not the point.. It is like these guys get so thrown off mentally... that is the point jrod.. instead of being upset that the bulls kicked our faces in for the 3rd time, he is answering questions about nate... don't you see the problem with that?

First of all novak needs to get rid of that move.. It is not his and he honestly he isn't good enough to have a signature move...

Aaron Rogers= beast, that is his move and he earned that...

clay mathews= beast, he can have a move..

Randy moss= beast, or at least was.. he can dance if he wants

I rather not see those things but if you are going to have one, you better be good and just not some one dimensional player, marginal talent like novak...

I don't care who you are, if you are going to celebrate that way, be prepared to have it thrown back at you... the difference is.. no one mocks Rogers, or matthews or westbrook or kobe, because they know those guys will kick their arse on the field or court.. nate could care less about the slow, unathletic, one dimensional novak.. and sorry, that is the truth.. novak needs to get over that..

tkf, he was asked a pointed question, and he answered it. That is the point. I don't see a problem with that. I would see a problem if he had no commented, and then we'd see a barrage of "Knicks PR Paranoia" "Dolan the Team Gag Antichrist" threads.

He was plus 19 for the game, what was he supposed to do, cry because we lost? He went back at little Nate. Big flipping deal.

Do you see an issue with being 2nd on the PLANET in shooting threes coupled with the statement of not being 'good enough to have a signature move"???

Was Lin "good enough" to have a pre-game ritual? Did you post about his not being good enough to have a pre-game ritual?

Nate threw it back, Novak flips it back at Nate. All's fair my friend. It's the media covering the NBA, this isn't Face the Nation.

a pre game ritual isn't a celebration.. Jrod, i think you know the difference...

He was asked a question.. sure.. but it was bait and he didn't need to respond.. it came off as whiney... I would have said... we lost the game, that is all that counts, I really am not thinking about nate after we got our arses handed to us.... novak is smart enough.... why even respond about nate, that is not even the big picture here.....

Do you see an issue with being 2nd on the PLANET in shooting threes coupled with the statement of not being 'good enough to have a signature move"???

And again, novak is second in the league in threes and horrible at everything else... work on your game novak and put that silly move away.. it isn't even his!! So no I don't see an issue with it at all... being second on the planet in one thing and a scrub at everything else doesn't means squat... novak is a scrub... simple and plain.. a scrub that can shoot threes.... If you want that move, then expect to be mocked... You are steve novak.. not steve nash!

Unreal. So you are now an authority on post game interview appearances?

It seems like a big picture to you, since you find it necessary to script a "scrub's" responses.

What's actually plain and simple is your melohate appears to be affecting the rest of your team cranium. I wonder how many other teams would like a scrub who can shoot threes better than 99.5% of the rest of the league?

And he was mocked by who, tkf? Think about that slowly for a second. Breathe slowly through that beast nose of yours.

Is gnate a future HOF'r? In your world, where does someone like gnate get off mocking anyone about anything?

The man's a featured player on one of the 5 best teams in the league. Get over it.

it is simple.. doesn't take an authority to realize that novak was butt hurt... simple..

Fact: the bulls kicked the knicks teeth in for the 3rd time this year.. i could care less about nate mocking a move he stole from Aaron rogers... novak was hurt and that is sad, that should have been the last thing on his mind.. as a fan this is how i feel on the matter.. is that ok Jrod? or should I let you dictate how I should feel?

why does nate have to be a future HOF player to mock novak? to keep it real, he is a better player than novak for what it is worth.... novak having a sig move is silly, for who he is.. granger mocked him last year as well.... I know you don't like the word "mocked" but call it what you want...

novak is featured as what? are you kidding me? what is he featured as? but really what does it matter... nates team smacked us around.. to the victor goes the spoils.. nate don't care about record... bulls are a good team as well.. nate was having fun and sticking it to novak... of late knicks tend to whine instead of do something about the situation.. i don't like that trend.. and I have nothing more to say about it..

I wouldn't say he was but-hurt but, I would say he was expecting the question.

N8 was being a moron as usual so, I don't have a problem with what Novak did. He was clearly doing it to mock Novak and I think that's sad since Novak obviously doesn't have the physical tools Nate has. Nate being the superior player in the league longer, you would expect him to show a little more maturity. Especially considering how long he sat on his ass hoping someone would call him.

Nate Mocking Novak is like Felton Mocking Rick Brunson.

Look at that gangsta grill Novak displaying...He's tying that belt around his waist with confidence. The Champ is here!...Nate looks confused..like he's trying it on at a dept store...not sure if it wants to buy it or not.

I vote Steve

Gotta agree Novak looks like a boss when he does it, Nate looks like a bootleg movie with the screen ****ed to the side.....

But anyway, how can a Knicks fan hate something like this is beyond me.

You're not in UltimateKnicks unless you talk up a rival or ex Knick and disparage your own team.

definitely a lot of truth to that. Undermine our player and over-valuing and pining for non-Knicks. Hell some of the people defending Nate were some of his biggest haters. Wow, what a difference a different team makes.

Nate hasn't quite grown up but what player in the league isn't aware of Nate's schtik and here's another thing I bet if Lebron did that to Novak, Novak wouldn't have said ish at the same time Nate is so immature/mental midget at times...... he'd be one to mock Lebron or Kobe. Matter of fact he did at the Garden one time when Lebron and the Cavs played us around the time of his incredible scoring stretch as a Knick.

Also no need to embellish the yrs of experience Nate vs Novak... it's 7yrs vs 6yrs not that big a difference.

Here's another thing I find comical/hypocritical to the highest degree....A few yrs ago Joakim Noah took beef with Lebron for doing things like this....

Remember he called that ish..."CORNY" from the bench(might have been during the playoffs) a game in which Lebron's Cavs were putting his Bulls away....He was waving his hand at Lebron from the bench calling him the B word while saying he was CORNY.

Turned out the be the same year Lebron flaked out in the playoffs against Boston. Does anyone recall him doing this stuff against them, the foolery between he and Danny Green/Boobie Gibson when they played Boston in the ECFs?

Matter of fact I can't remember the last time I've seen Lebron dancing on the sideline in general.

At the time though Knicks fans were telling Noah to stop acting like a girl....and let me guess was that because we all thought Lebron was coming to us during the summer as a free agent, was that why we told Noah then to shut the hell up and play basketball?

But now 1 dimensional exposed overpaid hired gun Novak is excused for doing the same to Nate?

WTF does that have to do with anything? Novak does what he does, and answers questions from the press. What does knowing gNate's stupidity have to do with it? Novak pointed out essentially the same thing.

What...the...fluck...are...you...talking....about? Lebron, who's known for stupid N8 shtick throughout his years in the league? Novak's not man enough to stand up to your make believe scenario involving LeQ?

So are you defending N8 and Joakim? Are you against all displays of any kind, except those being done as part of stupid shtick that downs a Knick?

1 dimension. Yes indeedy, the man has been exposed as shooting lights out threes. What a douchebag, huh?

And here, all along, I thought Novak was here to lead the league in triple doubles, and possibly blocks and steals as well.

Grow up. Please. You sound like a petulant little whiner now.

Lebron plays around (or at least used too) and it came off as immature but, I don't remember Lebron EVER mocking another player so, I can't and won't speak on that analogy at all. He never has come across as one to knowingly disrespect another player at all. Whether I like him or not, He has far more class than N8 has ever shown.

The dancing on the sideline was more a mockery to teams Cavs were defeating, interesting he started toning it down once it became public.

If Nate was on the sideline 2 steppin at the Garden with Marquis Teague and Taj Gibson while they kick our teeth in, that would make you feel a little better vs him mocking Novak....

your trying to string unrelated issues together to make a point but they don't work. Lebron's antics were do to immaturity but, it wasn't or didn't come across as an attempt to mock or dis his opponent. It was something he did and thought was cool. It is not the same thing as mocking a player not once but multiple times. Also, there is a big difference between sideline rituals that don't involve anyone but teammates vs a derogatory act right in front of someones face.

They're closely related because Nate is mocking Novak primarily due to him being what?.....

IMMATURE!

Lebron typically danced when his team was thrashing the other team, why primarily because he was?....

IMMATURE!

Name an opponent that would want to see Kid N Play activity on the sideline while you're getting thrashed by them....none much the same a player doesn't want to see another player mocking his move in which he pirated from another player.

So when Paul Pierce makes a back breaking 3 bows at mid court to the crowd and not the players is he not being immature, is he not mocking? Was this made an issue? What about the year prior to when he made another step back back breaking jumper to close out the game.....then steals Jason Terry's move and Airplanes his way after making the shot to mid court.... was he not being immature, was he not mocking?

Was this made an issue?

Not to my knowledge.
