There won't be a "healthy" with this team,

It's built to function as a rolling roster,

We didn't get one old guy, we got a bunch, so that if one goes down the next one pops up,

So you can forget the old guys, they'll be up and down all year, don't count them in any "healthy" talk,

Then you have Amar'e who will be nursing the knee all season, he'll be capped in the mid to high 20s per game, and Shump won't be 100% at any point this season either,

Our Golden Goose is Melo, everything you hope and wish for is in Melo's hands, or, more accurately, his mind,

Just like in our every day lives, you gotta roll with the punches, we can't, as fans, sit around and dream of the day when everything is JUST right,

Pray to the Universe Melo gets hot going into the playoffs, if he's fire balls in April then we're riding that pony all the way to the Finals

I disagree we have enough of guys who are battle tested for the 2nd season.

Do you think those older players(Sheed- Camby- Kidd- Prigioni- Durty Kurty came here to NY to hang out in Time Square and spend all their money? They came here to help Amare- Melo bring a championship to NYC.

No they wont. They'll just up the stakes and find another reason to complain. This team will never achieve enough for some on this board because they cant accept the team the way it is. Some want this win their way with their players and their coach. Some cant let go of past trades and and cant accept certain players on this team so the better we get, the higher they will raise the bar so that no matter what, this season will be a fail....

Achieve enough? Two years in a row, first round and out, that's achievement?

No man , don't hijack this thread with the re-hashed rhetoric from other threads please.

People just want the knicks to win in the 2nd season, they complain now because it hasn't come yet( 2nd season).

But with the playoffs, the competitive juices start to flow and everybody is on the same page.

Hi jack this thread? Did you not read page 3? Posters are taking huge dumps on Felton and Woodson all through this thread and you point out my post as hi-jacking?! Seb pointed out some of my very own sentiments on page 3 and I'm hijacking? Okay.....

Knicks are 12 games over 500. and off to our best start in decades. I'm enjoying the moment. Will worry about the playoffs when it gets here.

It's true. Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying the ride, how can we not enjoy it?

My biggest problem is with the big picture and our long term prospects with this team as it is built today

I think the disconnect is that, as a fan, I'm always thinking "we need to build a championship team", but the management of the team is probably thinking more like "we need to fill the seats up, so we just have to be good enough for that", and that's the root of my misery

Because, honestly, is this a championship team? I voted "I believe" in that thread a few weeks ago, but I would vote differently today

We've been chasing those elusive rings since '73. Its hard to capture that lofty goal, ask Checketts, Grunfeld, Bianchi, and Walsh. This is the best team we've put together since 99. Can we win it all? who knows...But I know I'm enjoying the ride thus far. Tearing the team down and starting over doesn't guarantee us anything. The championship journey of this organization is almost 40 years and counting....

If this was the last stretch of the season and we had the injuries to our vets who help bring accountability to the table then I would be concerned. But it's like the half way point and many teams after the all-star break have made runs that change the direction of their team.

Why do the knicks have to play all year with perfection is mind boggling to me as people start complaining and talking like drunk nosebleed fans.

The thing is this bad play isn't an aberration; at this point it's been most of the season. Since we started the year 6-0 we've gone 20-15 since, the only time our defense looks good is when we play a team with a crappy offense, and our offense only looks good when we're hitting 40% of our 3's.

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

We need our whole team to play the way we are capable of playing. Sheed and Camby makes our defense better this is the team roster I will Judge.

The reality is the knicks have a roster that will have to deal with injuries. The reality the East is really weak which makes knicks look a bit better. The reality is our roster has the potential to make a deep playoff run but we need health and two of our starters (Shump-Amare) are still working into the rotation.

I was tempted to vote "Frontrunner" two months ago, but I've since changed my mind...

I might change it again if we go on a 10-game losing streak.

I'll change it again if we win the last 20 games of the season.

How soon we forget, it takes time to get the chemistry where i needs to be, especially to please many on UK.

But I say wait , wait I say until the team has it's rim defenders who allow guys to play up on their men more and not lay off as much.

If the areas that kept us out of the 2nd rd last yr are in place come playoff time, I don't judge how we are playing now. IMHO our bigs and our pg's being healthy are the key to the knicks making noise in the 2nd season beyond the 1st rd

Ray Felton takes us to another level.

If Felton being out is the difference in this team then we are in serious trouble

The more weapons Felton has to dish too the better we are. This team is built to win big how soon we forget, Ray Felton is necessary.
