Felton although he has been trusted to lead the team, plays more with the mindset of a scorer as opposed to is distributor. Prigioni is unselfish to a fault.

Moreover, Prigioni, though an NBA rookie, has much more experience in big games than Felton does. After being drafted by the Charlotte Bobcats, Felton has played in just nine playoff games in his seven-year career.

Prigioni played professionally in his native Argentina for four years before taking his talents to Spain. He played there for numerous teams beginning in 1999, winning three Spanish King's Cups (and being named the Copa del Rey de Baloncesto MVP in 2006), four Spanish Supercups (named the Supercopa de España de Baloncesto MVP in 2008) and one league championship (2008).

He was named to the All-Euroleague Second Team twice (2006 and 2007). He was also named the best point guard in Liga ACB three times (2006, 2007 and 2009).
- Bleacher Report (dubwise)

Ball movement meets the pugnacious prowess of the prodigal (occasionally pouty) part-time point guard from Latta, South Carolina.

It's too perfect. Nice call playa2.

If we're going to give props to Melo for winning in College (rightfully so) the same should be given to Felton for leading UNC to the title. I don't think big game experience separates the two. It's just that Prigs is a different breed of PG. Pass first, Pass second, Pass third, Pass fourth...MAYBE shoot fifth.

Felton does have more of a scoring mentality which is great when it's about getting to the basket as opposed to taking bad jumpers, which he has seemingly curbed the last month.

There has to be a balance, he really needs to let the shot go much more then he does..

I'm sold on the idea of starting Prigs. One thing I'll say about Felton is that he's getting his speed back. It took a while, but Felton is finishing drives he hasn't been able to do since the first month or two of the season.

You bring Felton off the bench, and Woodson gives him the same green light he gives JR, and that's a lot of offense from the second unit. JR and Felton share PG duties with Kidd, and that's an interesting second unit with Camby and Kmart patrolling the paint.

Shift du Dominoes

Prigioni, made more effective as a starter, a role he is accustomed to playing - for passing

Felton, made more effective as a shooting guard

Capeland, made more aware of defense, for picking and rolling with Pablo

Carmelo, on a 30 minute pitch count, for clutch points

Martin, playing like his career depends on it, for rebounding

When Melo plays many minutes Prigioni doesn't get much run, why is that ?

Melo seems to like getting the ball a lot more since 's failed point forward experiment. Don't get me wrong, Melo has always liked getting the ball, but he seems to like dribbling the ball up court more than he used to

Fact of the matter is Prigs don't need to bring the ball up across midcourt, he just needs the ball back in his hands to run the offense. Prigioni led the team with a +25 against Toronto.

I agree that Prigs needs to run the offense more and you don't necessarily need to bring the ball up for that but he seems to be very good at running the fast break and you DO need the ball in your hands for that. I do not want to see JR Smith, Melo and even Shumpert doing this. They need to be finishers.

Even when when guys comeback healthy, Prigioni should continue to start. Defenses don't know what he's capable of doing because he's a pass 1st pg.

Many games you see him just walk to the basket for a layup because teams thinks he's gonna pass the ball. What a weapon !

Guard Pablo Prigioni has made five starts. The Knicks are 5-0 in those games.

Also, let’s not forget that 5-0 thing. But for starters, go with the defense. In those five victories, the Knicks allowed 88.0 points per game, a healthy 7.6 points below the 95.6 they allow on the season.

Two things that Prigioni shows why he isn't a rookie , but a cagey veteran.

When he steals the the ball on in bounds passes and he fouls the man leading a fastbreak and stops a potential easy 2pts for the opposing team

ESPN: Thanks in part to the heady, steady play of Pablo Prigioni, the Knicks check in at No. 8 in ESPN.com NBA writer Marc Stein's latest Power Rankings.

The Knicks are 8-0 since Prigioni was inserted into the starting lineup. They won both home and away games against the hated Celtics last week to strengthen their hold on the Atlantic Division, and are the No. 3 Eastern Conference team in Stein's rankings.

Writes Stein: "I became quite a Pablo Prigioni fan during the Olympics -- and got irrationally excited when I heard he was coming to the NBA -- but I obviously would be lying in a big way if I dared to suggest I ever pictured him emerging as a co-catalyst with J.R. Smith to help resurrect the Knicks' season."

playa how do you think the Knicks match up with the Heat having prigs in the starting lineup? I was just thinking about it and i guess he guards Chalmers? Idk..
Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

That's whom he will have to defend when Chalmers is in the game for the heat. or Ray Allen on the perimeter. HE'S NEEDED FOR US TO KEEP THE BALL MOVING

What does being a third string pg has to do with anything? Does that mean to you that he can't play?

Lin was the 12th man and once he got the time........ yea i know he's the 12th man.

His resume warrants his playing time in crunch time.

In 2001, Prigioni joined the Spanish club Lucentum Alicante, and he played there until 2003. In 2003, Prigioni joined the Euroleague team Saski Baskonia. With Baskonia he won several titles, including: 3 Spanish King's Cups in the years 2004, 2006, 2009, 4 Spanish Supercups in the years 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and the Spanish Championship in 2008.

If the knicks are gonna advance Pablo CAN'T BE ON THE BENCH AT CRUNCH TIME, WOODSON DOESN'T KNOW WHO HE HAS.

Pablo played 23:25 was +11
