not loyalty, just looking for a little perspective on the situation. You guys want to blame Anthony while those who actually played with him see it different. Fields OF ALL PEOPLE has no need to pull his punches.

I hope Lin appreciates your unwavering loyalty. Perhaps you guys should join a Houston board if your so emotionally connected to Lin.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

Only because they dont agree with your point of view on Anthony. Fields was in the locker room and knows the pulse of the team and what was going on better than anyone on this board. I'm pretty sure if Fields said, "Anthony was the cause of his boy leaving," you would be all over that quote and thumping your chest that you were right all along. But since his truth debunks your biased opinion, you make up far fetched excuses that just dont make any sense.

Wasn't Lin and Fields butt buddies at one point? Probably closest Knick friend Lin had with that corny handshake. No more MSG gag order, so Fields had every right to trash Anthony first chance he got for Knicks not resigning both him and Lin (If Anthony had this major pull on player decisions).

In addition to having full control of the Knicks franchise, Melo also has complete control of the Toronto front office. Fields is clearly making this statement in an effort to maintain his contract with the Raptors and avoid the wrath of the Melo controlled front office!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TKF is totally right....

I wouldn't take anything Fields said to heart. Guys like Kobe and Shaq and Garnett can get away with badmouthing former teammates and teams because they're so good teams will put up with it. Fields isn't that good and can't risk burning bridges like that or he'll get lowballed when he negotiates his next contract since teams won't bother dealing with him. Also, I find it hilarious that people have been laying the blame for the Lin decision at Melo's feet. This team has been making stupid ****ing decisions, nearly uninterrupted, for about 15 years now and the one constant in that time has been Dolan. But, for some reason this decision was made by Melo.
Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

+2 If you're gonna bash Melo do it for not focusing on defense or crappy shot selection.

the Lin thing reeks of Dolan.

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

If Melo WANTED Lin here you better believe he would be here. Melo wanted CP3. He.wouldn't.have a problem listening to CP3. That doesn't exclude
the fact that Dolan is the anti Christ

not at all, both are being politically correct... fields didn't debunk anything... if anything he and kidd shows they at least know how to play the cameras and media unlike carmelo.... who just craps all over the place every time he opens that hole in his face...

oh yea, fields was just playing it politically correct.. I am sure he and lin are on the phone a lot and the tone is quite different..

and Lin didn't make a decision, dolan did.. lin was told to get a number.. he did.. dolan didn't like it.. so he didn't match... but I am sure the lack of support by his new boy toy didn't help either....

if melo was a real leader i am sure he could have said to amare and chandler, hey lets call a meeting with dolan... sit down and tell him how important we think lin is to our future success... I have no doubt that dolan listens.. but when you have guys like melo and JR the mental midget putting out bad vibes in the press it just adds to the fuel that burned dolan's nose hairs when he saw that contract from Houston...

3G, Uptown asked you in another thread if this was an actual quote from Knick Management. I can't remember if it was said or not can you confirm this on either this thread or the other?

Here's what Father Figure said

The Knicks will "absolutely" match the Houston Rockets' four-year, $28.8-million offer sheet for Jeremy Lin, New York Knicks Coach Mike Woodson said Wednesday. "Never once," he told a small group of reporters in Las Vegas where the Knicks are participating in summer league

Woodson said Lin was expected to play a key role in the team's future.

"Jeremy Lin has always been a big part of what we're trying to do as we move forward with our franchise," Woodson told reporters in Las Vegas, where the Knicks are participating in summer league.

Woodson said the Knicks probably will sign Jason Kidd to their mid-level exception of $3.09 million on Thursday. Woodson said Kidd will be "a perfect fit" for Lin.

"Jason's a veteran guy that brings leadership," he said. "He'll be able to tutor (Lin) as he grows as a point guard for our franchise. And Jason can still play and run a ballclub, so that's important I think as we move forward and get ready for (training) camp and start the upcoming season."

The BILLIN part is no more out of context than anything else written at the time... lobbyist will believe what they want based on final results a desired set of circumstances. So whenever Woody speaks to the press we have to take what he says with a grain of salt right going forward right?

I knew Woodson said it I thought you were implying that someone in the front office said it.

I'm tired,I'm tired, I'm so tired right now......Kristaps Porzingis 1/3/18
