Only because they dont agree with your point of view on Anthony. Fields was in the locker room and knows the pulse of the team and what was going on better than anyone on this board. I'm pretty sure if Fields said, "Anthony was the cause of his boy leaving," you would be all over that quote and thumping your chest that you were right all along. Wasn't Lin and Fields butt buddies at one point? Probably closest Knick friend Lin had with that corny handshake. No more MSG gag order, so Fields had every right to trash Anthony first chance he got for Knicks not resigning both him and Lin (If Anthony had this major pull on player decisions).

In addition to having full control of the Knicks franchise, Melo also has complete control of the Toronto front office. Fields is clearly making this statement in an effort to maintain his contract with the Raptors and avoid the wrath of the Melo controlled front office!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TKF is totally right....

oh yea, fields was just playing it politically correct.. I am sure he and lin are on the phone a lot and the tone is quite different..

and Lin didn't make a decision, dolan did.. lin was told to get a number.. he did.. dolan didn't like it.. so he didn't match... but I am sure the lack of support by his new boy toy didn't help either....
