Marbury was also our best player for a few years. Did you support him?No.. Melo isnt Marbs, not even close but after a decade of losing the blind love is gone. Gotta earn it and let me say its not that hard.
Also Amare is the best player. In 3 weeks you will be reminded why his teams have playoff success and Melo's havent. People here have incredibly short memories.
Knicks:
2010 -- Lost in 1st round to Boston, 4-0; Melo: 26.0 PPG 10.3 RPG 4.8 APG Stat: 14.5 PPG 7.8 RPG 1.8 APG
2011 -- Lost in 1st round to Miami, 4-1; Melo: 27.8 PPG 8.2 RPG 2.2 APG Stat: 15.3 PPG 6.5 RPG 0.8 APG
Short memories indeed.
One new Knick positive from the Melohate: StatLove.
can't make many excuses for amare, he is one of my favorite players, but he needs to do better in the playoffs.. his resume suggest that he can and should.. but lets keep it real, last year, the injured hand hurt him, he was shooting over 50% from the field, but he didn't rebound and defend and that is not excuse..
also no excuse is how you try to slip one by us posting these stats.. dude, carmelo shot 37% and 41% from the field.. the guy was a chucking nut!!! there is nothing great about his playoff performances here in NY, just stop it man..... those are horrible shooting percentages...
Slip one by "us"? So are you still maintaining that Amare is the better player? If Amare shot 20% from the field but averaged 20 and 10, would he then be the suckhole douchebag you make Melo out to be?
What has no excuse is your seething hate for Melo. Seek counseling, really.
Mardy Collins...SMH
this is what all of your arguments( and I am being generous calling it that) have been reduced to... this tells me you really have no more points to make, It is ok, if you bow out now, I understand if this may be a bit to much for you...
Yes. Of course. Melo takes lots of shots. He's a pointless chucker. He's only gone to a Conf finals once. You win: he's a loser douchebag. Amare, who's been injured in both Knicks playoffs, is the better player, leader and all around good guy. Because he shoots a better percentage. Because that's what basketball is all about: shooting percentage. Forget points, rebounds, assists. That's why Artis Gilmore had all those rings.
And, like all of your "arguments", it's because you say so. Incredible, airtight argument.
RIP, mardy collins incident.
Jrod.... this is a bit too much for you.. if you want to talk playoffs, then I will tell you that both Houston and Sprewell have been better than carmelo in the playoffs as a knick... yet I am sure you will argue that carmelo is miles better... so now you are backed in a corner here I guess...
now if you want to argue who is a better player, I will tell you to look at amare's resume, I could argue that he is a better player as well.. either way, it doesn't look good for you here bro... just drop it.... I am on beast mode....
Anyone who sits around and waits for the lottery to better themselves, either in real life or in sports, Is a Loser...............
