Yes, it's what it was designed for.

Stop complaining. I like this move a lot. We have a win now team with Tyson, Amar'e, Carmelo anyway. Quite frankly, we should go all in. Let's do it.

I wouldn't be surprised if Jeffries wants a long term deal as well, at least like a 5m 3 year deal.
He played for us 1.5 seasons, so I am not sure if he qualifies for early bird rights or not.

You forgot Novak, but yeah looks good actually. JJ is a must as insurance.

I edited it and added Novak. You even captured it in your quote.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

He should play for free to make up for the contract Isiah gave him

The Heat were offering Phillys 1st, Norris Cole and Joel Anthony. That was the market. Wonder if we could of signed Lewis and traded less for Kidd

I love having Camby back! He should never have been off the team in the 1st place. We've got quality vet depth that knows what to do!!! This has been a very solid off season so far.
I can't believe so many fans have been against this deal. Knick fans are turning into a bunch of Nancy's.

This is going to be a fun season. By the playoffs, if we can stay healthy (big if, yes), we have the chance of having:

Starters:
C-Tyson Chandler
PF-Amar'e Stoudemire
SF-Carmelo Anthony
SG-Iman Shumpert
PG-Jeremy Lin

Bench:
C-Marcus Camby
C-Dan Gadzuric
PF/SF-Jared Jeffries
F-Steve Novak
SF/SG-JR Smith
SG-James White
PG-Jason Kidd

Possible another S&T using Dan Gadzuric. I'm also not against bringing back Mike Bibby for another season as PG insurance. We are building quite a team. If they can figure out how to play together, this could be a legit challenger for the #2 slot. And you know I am not usually optimistic about this team. Kidd and Camby are huge signings, IMHO.

Btw, look at the size on this team. We have some ****ing size at just about every position. I am amazed.

Marshon Brooks and Brook Lopez almost = Douglas, Jorts, JJ and 2 2nd round picks? Were you being sarcastic?

We gave up nothing for Camby. This is a great move for us. Very excited.

we gave up scrubds. I like Jorts but he is not a impact player off the bench. I know Camby is old but he still got 10 boards per game in like 28 minutes. he will be playing 15-20 minutes per game which will keep him fresh

I'm with you man. Gadzuric is definitely going though for a SG. These moves take us out of the mix for someone like Courtney Lee but we still can get a solid shooter like Foye possibly. In that case here's our rotation which is balanced on offense and defense:

Starters:
C-Tyson Chandler
PF-Amar'e Stoudemire
SF-Carmelo Anthony
SG-Randy Foye
PG-Jeremy Lin

Bench:
C-Marcus Camby
SF/SG-Iman Shumpert
PF/SF-Jared Jeffries
F-Steve Novak
SF/SG-JR Smith
SG-James White
PG-Jason Kidd

Hell of a team......

now the question is how much money do we have left to replace fields at SG?
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

we need smith to take a chance with us!

or we'll be dipping into the min contract tier of 2 guards.

or maybe matching fields' deal? (i think not now)

we will be quite weak at the 2 if preacher earl disses us.

Foye is the final piece to the puzzle. Can shoot the 3 and play backup pg in a pinch. Start while Shump is out

Maybe we over payed to Houston, so they can get enough assets to lure Dwight away from Bklyn?

Foye would require Kidd to be S&T with us first, but I am not sure what we can offer to Dallas, we gave up what we probably could to get Camby.

IF we still own 2013's 2nd round pick,
we might be able to offer right under 1m<900k
Gadz's contract

for a starting salary of about 3m
I am not sure if we own that pick or if we gave it up for Chandler to Washington.

Foye
Gary Neal
Shannon Brown
Courtney Lee

*Brandon Rush* his qualifying offer is more but he would actually be perfect

Can be realistic targets if we can keep the Mini MLE
I have a feeling we will hear Grant Hill's interest with the 3m as well.
