Well, it looks Scott Machado will be available as a free agent.

This guy is not Manu Ginobili but he's young and talented. If anyone saw one second of Euroleague basketball you would see he is definitely one of the best, if not the best, Greek prospect. He plays for Olympiakos in Greece who just won the Euroleague title and is a teammate of our very own Giorgos Printezis. It's a smart pick that gives us a future asset at a draft position where you usually end up with garbage. No, I'm not supporting him because he is Greek, but I am obviously happy to have someone of my heritage drafted by the Knicks. And no, he doesn't automatically suck because he's European.

All Euros drafted by the NY Knicks suck. If it was San Antonio drafting I'd say you're right, but it's the Knicks. That is a historical fact.

Maybe so, but we'll see what happens. We definitely have revamped our Euro scouting since Walsh arrived. We signed Moz out of nowhere and Gallinari was not a bad pick.

Future my ass, we were build to be win in these next 2 years or fail.

Did you not see DJO's combine results....

if they're built to win in the next 2 years, doesn't it make more sense to save their scant cap room for a veteran as opposed to drafting some kid who has to learn the nba game?

i liked DJO, but saying the knicks are in win now mode doesn't help your arguement. if they're in win now mode, it actually makes more sense to stash a guy in europe and save the cap room for vets.

Ehh none of those picks(Moz/Gallo) are Manu, Peja, Mehmet, Andrei, or even Hedo level good. We're 0 for the millenium.

#Knicks GM Glen Grunwald on Greek 6-8 SF Kostas Papanikolaou. "He plays hard. He's a good athlete. He need to improve his shooting.
We've watched him over the course of the year and he's improved dramatically over this year. We see him as a guy whose going to work and improve.'' Grunwald said the earliest he'll play for club is 2013-14 but that's not lock. Has a $1M buyout next year for Olympiakos. Didn't see any player left who would make this season's rotation.

You're smoking crack. Hedo's prime year averaged 20/5/5 the year the Magic went to the finals(2008-2009). Gallo is better than Hedo right now, if 15 pts/gm on erratic shooting and nothing much else is your cup of tea.

Draftnet says Pap is a good shooter, DraftX says he's a shaky shooter. The so called draft 'experts' don't even know who this kid is. We probably won't be able to bring him over anyway because of his buyout.

Please stop with this nonsense. Every year fans completely overreact to every pick. People crapped on Shumpert, Fields, and so on and so forth. It never ends.

I would hope this team has higher aspirations and better plans than having a #48 pick in its rotation if it wants to win a championship.

exactly...... the team will be bolstering a 75 million dollar payroll, and fans crying over the second rounder, when the dudes they wanted didn't even get drafted.

At least Tractor Traylor's not around to wreck this guy during summer league.

The best Greek prospect. Oh well...

Those Euroleague highlights look worse than pick up league videos from the Jersey Shore.

In Gaelic, it translates to "Appearing soon in a Blake Griffin posterization clip near you"

Curious how the best Greek prospect --- is not a good shooter ?

It doesn't matter much to me since we need to add vet players that can help us right away
