What did Isiah say yes to? Con man maybe, yes man no. Also, lying or agreeing to do anything to keep getting a paycheck (i.e. coaching) after you have created a can't win situation makes you a survivor not a yes man.

I never heard that Dolan was making moves behind the scenes when Layden was acquiring all of his ex Utah role players.

What do you mean what did he say yes to? Isiah Thomas is Dolan's friend and Layden was non-confrontational as a person. This is what Dolan wants. Dolan does not want alpha male personalities that will challenge his authority. More often than than not those personalities are the ones that are winners. Dolan would prefer to have a guy he can control over hiring a winner because it's not about winning games for him. Never has and never will be. You can continue to defend Dolan for absolutely no reason (well, I guess because Mike Woodson is a good coach in your eyes) but all the evidence points to Dolan being a huge idiot.

You don't think Isiah is an alpha male? You don't think he has a dominant personality? You don't think Isiah had the ego of a winner? Not agreeing with your opinion isn't defending Dolan.

No, because Isiah is desperate to for a job and will be Dolan's butt-buddy to get it. That's not a dominant personality. Maybe as a player but that personality is long gone.

When Dolan got Isiah to coach the team after Isiah said he would not after the Brown fiasco it emasculated isiah big time. Dolan got him to do what he wanted after he extended his contract.

Dolan might have sat when he peed but after a while Isiah was putting the seat down and dolan got to drip on the floor.

Phil Jackson says he wouldn't have wanted to coach the Knicks -- even if the team asked.

"I wasn't gonna take that job; that's for sure," Jackson -- who won 11 championships as coach of the Bulls and Lakers -- told HBO's "Real Sports" in an interview scheduled to air Tuesday night.

Really? It's incomprehensible to me. The guy is a legend and if he has the energy and will to coach then you hire him right this second.

The way Dolan goes about business is why the Knicks will be a failure forever. His ass-backwards approach to everything has made us suffer as fans. The fact that people still love this guy because he "spends money" is insulting to my intelligence and my fanhood. James Dolan is the anti-christ of the Knicks.

Forgive me for being infuriated that we didn't even bother contacting Jackson because "he's old". Yeah, screw a guy who has won 11 titles as a coach, let's sign Grunwald's and Isiah's best friend Mike Woodson. The Dolay Way.

Sometimes I read these post, and I can't even understand how could any Knick fan would want the same man who repeatedly destroyed this team. As a faithful Knick fan, I am so happy they didn't contact that guy. He is a basketball version Benedict Arnold.

I would have like to see this guy coach a team that wasn't already made.

Sometimes I see posts like this and I can't even understand how people are so enthusiastic about something so mediocre.

He's done that, but I wanna see him coach a team that doesn't have a top 3 player in the game, and win multiple rings with that.
