Point blank D'Antoni has not done a dam thing for 4 yrs. NBA is based on results and the guy got a pass for 3 yrs. We can make excuses but he was still paid very well to coach a lottery team.

Knicks did him a solid by allowing him to stay this long. They put money in his and his brother pockets.

I'm just wondering if many of you would have the same replies if D'Antoni lasted to the end of the season. He wasn't coming back regardless. The only thing that could've saved him was if Lin became a rich man's steve nash...not a poor mans.

This shows nothing but ignorance. He never had players for more than a year. His first 3 years shouldn't even count on his resume.

I guess D'antonio was out of answers. How many times can you call the same pick and roll or ISO for the same player. I would've preferred if he waited until the end of the season, but now Phil or Jerry will have amble time to plan their training camp.

Endured Isiah, Donnies two year clean up job, got a good team on the floor, Dolan Starphuched and we right back to the crud.

Wow...

Im close to my breaking point with this franchise. This is beyond ridiculous. How much lack of professionalism in this franchise.

I don't care if this was D'Antoni's fault or Melo's, this is a sad day for any Knicks fan. It reminds us we are fans of the worst laughingstock of the NBA and one of the worst in professional sports.

D'Antoni resigns. So now this is Melo's team to the fullest. I don't think I'll like this.

What about Lin? Why would he come back to this mess.
