they make it work. defend first and foremost and the offense will come so long as Melo and Amare's jumpshots start falling again.

The problem is, without a 3-point shooter the defense can sag inside making it difficult for Lin to penetrate and Melo and Stoudemire to operate. These players need a shooter to stretch the defense to make it easier. I think Shumpert belongs in the starting lineup, but i wish in that case we could trade Stoudemire for a stretch-4 like Ryan Anderson. As long as we don't have a shooter in the starting lineup, we will always lack some balance in the lineup.

I think JR might be struggling because he hasn't been able to get a rhythm in the limited minutes he's played.

Honestly- maybe you start JR, and Fields can help hand out the towels during time outs!
